Rating: 4.00'Ealing Kebab' is one of the many outlets that serve Kebabs on Uxbridge Road. There is an unusual Persian cusine influence that gives it a somewhat unique "twist" on the old favourites.

I opted to have the Lamb Shish as the Donner roll was just been changed. The meat was GOOD, tasty with that slightly smokey flavour yet still tender. The Salad was dressed well and had a nice colourful variety to it. Some might find the red Cabbage a little too vinegary though. The Chilli Sauce was nice, if a little unusual somehow, perhaps spiced Persian style...? It was served fresh from a silver bowl that was placed just above the clear glass chilled cabinet with the Meats and salad so was room temprature - which is preferable to a cold Chilli Sauce! The Garlic sauce was not to my liking with sour vinegary overtones. The Bread was a freshly made flat bread that was more akin to Tandoori Roti than Pita, Village or Nan breads. Sometimes this kind of bread can go hard quickly but it was warm and soft as I ate inside the restaurant on this occasion.
The server was helpful, attentive and friendly and only lost points because he recommended a Â£5.99 meal como with Fries & a drink which actually cost me more as I only had a small shish instead of the (Large?) Donner in the picture.

Ealing has a great deal of Kebab Shops and the high quality and Persian variation mean 'Ealing Kebab' can be included in a small list of truly great Kebabaries that serve the West London area. From the outside, and the inside, this place looks a little rough and ready. I was concerned about using it on the first couple of occasions. That and the cheapo items such as the pies and jars of pickles looked bad.

However, the meat here is very good. I have never been disappointed by the quality of the beef, pork, chicken and lamb. The rabbit is lovely.

My only complaint is that they could sell a little more game meat - such a pigeon or pheasant. I've only been there a couple of times for a few bits, but I wasn't particularly impressed with this supermarket. It stocked a reasonable range of products, given that it is quite small. However, the aisles seem particularly narrow and the queues were long. There weren't even any good offers or reductions to cheer me up.

I got the cake for my son's christening from here. I found the staff very helpful and friendly, and the cake itself was nicely made. It came with lots of glitter and silver balls as well which wouldn't have been quite what I'd expected, but then again I left the design to them! It was reasonably priced too, for a large cake.

We also tried some of their 'normal' cakes and sausage rolls (rude not to when popping in to order!) and they were also good.

Nice little branch of Sainsbury's, which has a good range of all the basics, plus the odd more interesting item. The fruit and veg offer is good for a shop this size and the staff are friendly, although the queues can be long on a Saturday morning. This is a perfectly ordinary branch of Tesco's -- nothing remarkable about it. It's small, good for getting top-ups of things you might have run out of. On a recent visit the store did seem a bit dishevelled and the staff weren't over-friendly; but nothing too terrible to report!
