for a place to stay in london you can not beat a travelodge. there are some great deals to be had at the moment for the end of this year from £9 on certain dates and often for £29 if you book well in advance. The family rooms are ok, not huge but all you need is a place to sleep after an exciting day out and the standard of this one is generally good, it is close to lots of stuff you will want to see. Do not expect it to be plush, you do get what you pay for here, but what you have saved in accomodation costs you can spend on entertaining the kids.
