The food is conventional but good Italian fair. The staff generally stay on the right side of friendly, and birthday tables are usually given a raucous 15 seconds of fame.

The pizza is better than the pasta. Prices are standard.

the food and the service was just ok. It was average from the beginning to the end. The food was fresh, crispy but not very tasty. The service was of average quality and the staff was friendly. This is a lovely, friendly, family orientated pub and whenever we have a group of friends or family together, and want to eat out, this is where we go. They have an offer on, all day, every day, which is buy two meals for the price of one. If you have quite a crowd going this is quite a saving. It's only on the main course though but it still cuts a big chunk off the bill. The food is always delicious and the puddings are also varied and nice. The whole pub has a relaxed atmosphere. You don't feel you have to have a drink because you are in there and we often just go in for a meal and a coffee. The name "Kiss Me Hardy" is a reference to Lord Nelson who lived in the area and there are lots of interesting naval artifacts and pictures dotted around the pub. There is also a children's play area upstairs but I have never used it with my daughter as I don't feel I can leave her up there alone as people can walk straight up there without entering the actual pub as the stairs come off the main entrance, before the bar entrance.

They do lovely little girls' clothes such as Barbie and My Little Pony which my daughter loves and you can get a dress for a little girl for less than a fiver, as well as jeans etc for the kids. They are also brilliant for cheap sports socks where you can get a five pack of sports socks very cheaply. They sell branded trainers at a discount too. The only problem with them is my Husband asked for a size 10 and the girl came back from the stock room saying "Sorry, we haven't got those in a 10 but we have got it in an 8 or 11". This just made me laugh cos I think a 36-yr-old man knows what size he needs and won't try and squeeze his size 10s into a size 8 cos it's all they had!!
Thye have a wide selection of sports wear and sporty gifts such as alarm clocks, mugs etc featuring specific football teams as well as calendars too. I even got a Kylie mug in there, not sure of the relevance to sport though!!

Rating: 5.00This salon was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy that she did. It is a small salon but very friendly. I was very pleased with the haircut and recommendation I was given to try using straightening irons on my hair. The hairdresser showed me how to do it and I was so impressed with her that I bought a set! The only thing is that now I know how to straighten my hair it doesn't get all straggly anymore so I don't feel it needs cutting so often so in a way she did herself out of some business!!
Anyway, the staff were friendly and chatty and they obviously have their regulars there who are pleased with the service too.
My only gripe would be the fact that they had a notice outside saying if they had been recommended, then tell the salon the name of the friend who recommended them and they would get a discount next time they visited. I told them my friend had recommended them but was told the offer of a discount for her had finished. So why was the offer still advertised on a board outside?
I will definitely be going back there though when I next need a cut. This place is a mainstay of late night Wimbledon. Up the road there is Po Na Na, which is equally naff but thinks oh so much more of itself. The Watershed is local club with no pretentions. Itâ¬"s dark and a little dingy but great place to go after youâ¬"ve been drinking and want to up the tempo. The music is poppy, hip hoppy, dancy stuff â¬nothing special. Something The Watershed plays host to a really good comedy club called Laughing Horse. You can see comedy and stay on for the club which is really very good value indeed. Iâ¬"ve been going to Thomas Marshall-Manifold for over 10 years. I am 47 and have found relief for various injuries, including tennis elbow and whiplash injury caused by a car accident.
He has also treated me for allergies, headaches, bladder infections and premenstrual symptoms. I go to the clinic once every 6 months or when I feel I need to for â¬Übalancing treatmentsâ¬". This has helped to keep me very healthy for the last few years.
Also, some time ago my 5 years old son experienced continual ear and sinus infections, resulting in him consuming repeatedly antibiotics. They didnâ¬"t seem to be helping, so I took him to doctor Marshall-Manifold and after six months of treatment he has had, to date, no problems. His immune system is very strong and at 16 years of age, he is a very healthy young man.
I cannot recommend Thomas Marshall-Manifold more highly.

I am an experienced enthusiastic lover of quality Thai food!!
Our group of five spanned an age range of 50 years yet, so good was the food at Chang Thai,everyone thoroughly enjoyed every dish that we had ordered.

My only regret is that I live about twenty stops away on the dreaded Northern Line, otherwise I would become a regular.

For years Sia food and wine has been used by young children aged around 13-17 years for purchasing alcohol and cigarettes.
Known by them as 'Haydons' they make their way there to buy alcohol and go drinking in near-by parks.
The staff there (2 asian men) know that the children are underage as when they purchase alcohol they tell them to, and qoute, 'Put it deep in your bag', or if there are other customers in the shop they wait until they have left to serve the kids.
This has gone un noticed since I was in my early teens, now nearly 18 it's still going on and more and more kids hear of it and go there to get drink.
This place should have it's licence removed as it is using it in the wrong way.
They are helping add to the rise in young people drinking from an early age.

McChina used to be a tiny little takeaway service based on the Haydons road, it offered a delicious range of excellent Chinese food at a very good price.
In the decade or so that has passed, McChina has evolved and expanded into a magnificent, elegant restaurant that not only offers it's same great takeaway service and value for money, but also a beautiful place to dine and experience the taste of China right here in Wimbledon, now know as McChina Eating.

Firstly, you have to remember this is a takeaway kebab shop, not a 5star restaurant, but saying that, the food has always been very tasty in a fatty fast food kind of way.
The staff are always very friendly, and they deliver very quickly to local addresses, and the prices are very good for the portion sizes served! For instance 10 chicken nuggets and chips for Â£3.50 or a half pounder cheeseburger and chips for Â£4.50.

This little cafe, with bench seating, is a South Wimbledon favourite of ours. Its menu is a mixture of Chinese and Japanese rice and noodle dishes served in generous portions by young and pleasant staff. Prices are very reasonable (eg £5 or £6 for a groaning plateful of chicken and vegetables with black bean sauce) and it's a great place for hungry youngsters on a limited budget. Only problem is that service is so speedy and the turnover so fast that your visit is more likely to last forty minutes than a whole evening! We find this a welcome change from other Wimbledon restaurants and a pleasant place for some tasty Lebanese food. It's small and unpretentious with friendly staff who remember you. Our favourite food there is a selection of starters and small dishes which we prefer to the main (slightly plain) meat dishes. They often play Lebanese music on CD which helps to blot out the rather bleak urban view from the window. Now this is a little find! Right in the heart of Merton Abbey Mills, near Wimbledon.

One visits Merton Abbey Mills if you are looking to buy that 'something different', whether it be a fossil, a stained glass mirror or a beautiful handcrafetd frame.

We (enjoying crafts and arty things) have often strolled through here (our friend also has an estate agency here, so we pop in and visit him too when we come here).

This pub was recommended to us by him, and we enjoyed it very much.

It is alongside the Wandle River, which has recently been cleaned up a lot and is mroe pleasant to walk along. It isnt a wide river though, more of a canal if anything. Kids fish in it and people go for walks along it.

The pub has a lovely atmosphere, and I especially enjoyed the outside area, alongside the river.

Service is good here, we certainly had no complaints!

We had a tiny bite to eat, nibbled more, so I cannot comment on the food her persay, but the beer shandy was cold and tasty, and the experience was very pleasant.

They also dont rush you either, even if you are in a prime position, which was rather nice!

The decor is modern and tasteful, not sure why there is a wooden well in the front though.

Service is very good, except for the one lady who came out and could obviously not speak a word of English. Not helpful when you are ordering drinks...

We had a starter of a vegetable spring roll each, and they brought some shoots and cucumber pieces for us too. This was very nice.

Lance had the crispy duck and I had chilli king prawns. We both ordered some noodles with bean sprouts.

My king prawns had no chilli taste AT ALL (and the menu said it was hot - 2 chilli signs next to it), they came in this very thick garlicy sauce that was quite gross actually (look at the photos). I managed to eat 4 and then could stomach no more. I usually love seafood, but the sauce put me off it totally. I filled up on the noodles.

Lance left quite a bit of the duck too. It was okay, nothing special. It was brought to him cold too. We left feeling unsated and hungry as we had left so much behind.

The place did not have that much ambiance to be honest, they played this funny music box music too, we felt flat there, and would not go again.
