I'm a regular customer of Firezza (or rather, I WAS a regular customer until this weekend) - ordered a pizza by mobile order at 11:25pm on Friday - no sign of it by half past midnight so gave them a ring. Phone rang out, and when I checked the website it showed that they closed at midnight on a Friday. I checked my bank statement, and I had been charged for the pizza... which never showed up.

When I eventually got through to them (at 1pm Saturday afternoon), they were very dismissive about the whole thing - first I was told that they closed at 11pm on a Friday (well, the guy said 11pm on a Sunday... but I presume he meant Friday) and when I said that the website showed midnight he then told me there had been a problem with their mobile order printer, and that a manager would be in by 5pm at which time he'd call me. No call came at 5pm... or 6pm... and when I called at 6:30pm I was informed that the manager would actually be in at 7 and he'd call me straight away.

It's now 2pm on Sunday afternoon and I'm yet to hear a word about refunding me for the phantom pizza - I've received no apology, and really feel like I've been treated badly by Firezza. This is a pleasant local Italian restaurant popular with those living in Clapham South.

The restaurant serves the usual mix of pizza and pasta dishes as well as starters and deserts, which are made from scratch by Italian chefs. The main appeal of this restaurant is that main courses are always half the price that is printed in the menu. This means that you pay no more that Â£5 for a large pizza for one measuring about 30cm in diameter. This offer is on all the time at any time of the day.

The decor inside is of a basic cafe style, with a mismatch of different framed photos, the odd forgivable football scarf and televisions which show news / sporting events. There is also a terrace at the front where you can sit when the weather is fine, although it can get a bit noisy.

The restaurant is very popular and always busy, but despite this, I have always been seated pretty quickly and the service is brisk, but friendly.
