We went there for a girlie lunch today as it's near our workplace and have always wanted to go. They have quite a few food specials going on (pizza and burgers 2for1). The burgers (especially the chips) was really good and the portions big. Our waiter was very rushed and cleared our table while one girl was still eating. We all found him very rude with no "table-side" manners. Although he was the only waiter I could see, it wasn't busy at all (maybe 4 other tables, and by the time we were done it was empty again) so I don't understand what the rush was about. Go to this venue only if you wish to be treated homophobically by the door staff! A regular visitor to this venue for almost 10 years & I was pretty disgusted to be subjected to homophobic behaviour from a member of the door staff. On entry I was asked if I new what this venue was. I was let in & thanked the door man but made the mistake of patting this guy on the shoulder to which he responded "just do not try to f@~#g touch me" When I later made a complaint to the manager the door man fabricated a story accusing me of trying to touch him sexually. The manager behaved defensively & never apologised whilst the security guy just laughed in my face.

Went this Friday. This place is smaller than my studio appartment and lacking in any kind of atmosphere. The dance floor is tiny with the toilets virtually on it and the staff had an attitude. Asked to see the bar manager as every time we ordered a round it was a different price and was generally treated with contempt. No, seriously, this is a nice little place to bring your friends visiting London, I've never been even if I live in London so I thought it would be a fun thing to do, and fun it was.
I agree with other reviewers that the waiters were rude: a lady shouting instructions about gloves being attached to our robes; a girl serving free top ups to her friends while ignoring me and my friend waiting to be served.
But who cares, we stayed there for 20 mins as we were done after the initial novelty factor - a couple was snogging nearby (I never knew that ice ignited passion).
Took pictures, had a laugh, and went for a lovely meal at Momo's next door.Oh yes it's a nice bar. Oh yes it's an ice bar. The end.

It's not usual to give five overall stars and five for food, service and ambience, but it's hard not to with Milk & Honey.

Let's begin from the end â¬ Ambience. Milk & Honey has this magical quality of removing you completely from noisy Soho and London in general. You feel youâ¬"ve stepped back in time to a different place, solely dedicated to you enjoying some of Londonâ¬"s best cocktails, in cosy company, whether it is with friends or a date (Iâ¬"d really recommend it if youâ¬"re going on a first date and are looking to impress, without risking something swanky or pretentious). Dark lighting, jazz that has the right balance between adding energy to the room and blending in the background and really comfortable booths for a group of up to 6.

Service. Exceptional in a word. The waiters know the menu very well and will happily recommend something if you cannot decide. Just tell them roughly what youâ¬"re after and you want be disappointed. The staff at the door is very friendly, making you feel welcome and comfortable from the start. This is the same on the phone. Milk and Honey is a members club, but anyone can reserve a table by calling before 5pm. They will do their best to help you.

Finally food. I hadnâ¬"t tried it in my previous visits, but I was blown away by its quality last time I went. Remember that weâ¬"re talking about bar snacks here, but the salt-rubbed lamb chops are right up there with the best Iâ¬"ve tried. There were other memorable mentions Iâ¬"m sure, but the quality of those chops was so high that Iâ¬"m struggling to remember the other things (we had started quite early that day). I do remember that everything was really good, with only the portions of chips feeling a bit small and not spectacular.

So there you have it. One of central Londonâ¬"s and Sohoâ¬"s finest hidden gems with amazing cocktails that stays open late (4am if youâ¬"re a member) and a place youâ¬"ll equally enjoy with friends or more romantic encounters. The last part applies if you go on a date. This is not the place to pick someone up and house rules strongly discourage male punters from approaching ladies. The reverse does not apply, so you never know...you may still get lucky. Unlikely though, so just go to enjoy the atmosphere, drink and food.

IF you're 21-25, watch SITC (Sex in the...), like the idea of glamorous, overpriced cocktails and shiny mirrors, faces and suits, this will seem fabulous to you.

If however, you have been to bars with atmosphere, good music and where the staff serve WITH a smile, and don't ignore you if you're not a regular, avoid.

The bouncers keep the crowd relatively white(ish), young(ish), and shiny faced who obviously want to max out their credit cards. The staff don't serve the next person, they serve their regulars first, as we were told, "it's quicker to serve them first!" DOH!. The music is as far as I can tell the usual RnB shite where silly Cheryl-alikes grind before trekking home to Barking or Harlesden or somesuch place.

I drank at the The Toucan about 8 years ago and I loved it so much. I recently revisited last month to find that it has got even better. Extention as now there is an upstairs bar, the staff are still as friendly and knowledgable on the drinks they serve, lovely tasting Guiness and an amazing selection of Whiskey's! I can't fault the place! I love everything about it from the size to the decor to the drinks that they serve. Only thing is I have never eaten there so I cannot comment on the food but it certainly looked nice.....I was far too busy enjoying the drink! I went to Graphic last Thursday with a group of friends; the DJ was awesome, it had a really lively afterwork atmosphere and the cocktails, although a little on the pricey side were worth every penny! I reserved an area at Match bar for some birthday drinks last weekend. From the moment we got there, the service we received was second to none and we were very impressed. The manager was excellent, and the bar staff brilliant. Although the bar was busy for a Saturday night, at no point did we have to queue for drinks at the bar. The cocktails were beautifully made, and tasted amazing. The most horrible bar experience in years!

Overpriced cocktails of really poor quality.

Staff is rude and tend to cheat -charged for doubles, the drinks taste like non-alcoholic, even worse if you try to avoid the annoying waitress and order at the bar.

It was lively enough for a breezy Friday night in April. Music was slightly cheesy. Punk is one of my regular haunts, and i never seem to get tired of it! I have taken many of my friends here and no matter what music they like, or what kinda clubs they like, all of them have had a fantastic night out!

The door staff are wonderful, very polite to the people who have to queue etc and always are very efficient at finding you a taxi at the end of the night! The bar staff are equally wonderful, never forgetting an order, plus despite how busy it gets i have always managed to get served within 2-3 mins, which i dont think is to bad at all!

Yes the drinks are pricey...but im not going to complain about it, if i wanted cheap drinks id never go out, also the people are very friendly at Punk and you tend to get quite a few drinks bought for you!

An awful pub/restaurant, I won't credit it with the moniker gastropub as it's not. The chips and vegetables are something you'd expect in a Wetherspoons, frozen chips bunged straight into a deep fat fryer with microwaved squishy veg. The decor is naff, the seats are cramped and the staff are rude beyond any comprehension (one of them spilt our wine over my plate and the table and then simply walked off). It's tough to find a balance between good food, service, surroundings and cost - but Zilli Bar does a grand job of all. I've eaten here on and off for over 5 years and it's only ever once been less than good one and that's when Gino wasn't at the helm - but he's back now!

You can expect a solid Italian themed menu with some very good daily specials, a good selection of wine, beer and cocktails and an atmosphere that has a fine mix of Italian cafe, French bistro and Soho meeting den. Don't expect a quiet corner or a romantic dinner (go to Andrew Edmunds for that), this is a place you go to enjoy conversation, the company of the table next to you and the old chap at the bar who is a: always there and b: always looking grumpy - he's the only one mind you, looking grumpy that is.

I mentioned Gino wasn't running the gaff for a while, and the place was like a ghost town - he was brought back pretty quickly and a good job too. And it's right in the tourist/pikey Oxford Street zone! As mentioned, a really nice bar on the ground level, food is served upstairs but I've never eaten here. A young crowd in the bar, friendly as well (bar staff are too), and there' a big club downstairs too. Went to a night called Heavy Load and it's effing brilliant-70's Southern USA rock (think Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes etc) with a really friendly crowd. I called in to this pub on my way to a meal. I bought half an carling and a large white wine. I gave the bar maid Â£20:00. She gave me change of Â£10:00. Despite two other patrons who I didn't know supporting me as they had seen me hand over Â£20:00, I couldn't get any help from the bar staff and in the end the manager came out and asked us to leave the pub as we had been barred.

Despite two other patrons who I didn't know supporting me as they had seen me hand over Â£20:00, I couldn't get any help from the bar staff and in the end the manager came out and asked us to leave the pub as we had been barred.
I am not saying you should'nt go to this bar, although it is noisy and expensive.Just pay for drinks with small notes or coins, tell the bar staff how much your are giving them, and check your change
