Paradise on top of London! I love this place! I love the food, the location, the views, the wine, the garden, the service...

I have been in the fortunate position where friends have taken me here for special celebrations so I havent been privy to the bill although I have been told that it certainly isnt cheap!

Although pricey Coq d'Argent should definitely be considered as a place to take someone special for a birthday lunch or for a relatives anniversary perhaps? It is certainly a place that I could not afford very often so is a special occasion type place that will always hold fond memories for me.

The lift that you go into go up to the restaurant is also fanatastic and the rooftop gardens are mesmerising. It certainly is one of London's hidden gems!Paradise on top of London! I love this place! I love the food, the location, the views, the wine, the garden, the service...

Quite a large place downstairs, Chairs were abit uncomfortable, waiters/staff were helpful. Food was very nice although it took a while for our order to come, evan though the place wasn't that busy. Had a great experience here, really good food and a great ambiance. Also really enjoyed the cured meats and cheeses. I definitely recommend this restaurant! This is a nice, little Italian restaurant in the financial district of London (City), just off Bow Lane, hidden away from the frantic activity of the main streets. With its outdoors tables in its inner terrace and on the alley-way, it is ideal for eating lunch outdoors.

The food is good, well presented and without fuss. I went there with a friend last week and we had delicious ravioli, spaghetti, bruschetta and pomodoro with a glass of Rose wine each.

Service is good, swift and attentive. Anti-pastis/starters are at around £6-£8 and mains at around £12-£14. Portions are reasonable.

Little downside: they charged us an unexpected £1 each for "covers" -an old fashion, non-transparent and bad pratice you still sometimes find in a few restaurants in London, which I am against. The bill came also with double the charge for the Rose wine but was promptly corrected when I told the otherwise amicable waiter that I have 20 Italian friends in London with "Cosa Nostra" and "Camorra" roots, including a "Capo dei Capi" (Boss of bosses).

Otherwise, highly recommended if you work in the City and want to lunch Italian and/or Al Fresco with friends, colleagues or clients.
