'Cyprus Mangal' is a couple of blocks behind Victoria station and is a good choice as opposed to the fast food junk that is available in and around the station itself.

It was packed on a cold November Friday noon both in the seated areas AND the front where they do take-aways. I opted for the Mixed Donner to save time as the Ocakbasi was completely full of other customers tasty looking meats already!

The Lamb Donner was "Yaprak" style and was perhaps the most spiced version I have ever tasted. It was almost like an Indian curry. It was fattier than some of the other places who make Yaprak Doner but still good.
The Chicken Donner was overshadowed by the strong flavoured lamb but was nice.

The Chilli sauce was spicy hot. The Garlic sauce was fine. Salad & Village Bread wrap were both fresh.

Value wise the Mixed Donner was Â£6, which is Â£1.50 more than you would pay at 'Tad Mangal' for a slightly better Kebab. Having said that, there is no competition in this area so for the quality the price seems worth it.

Service was fast & efficient despite the busy lunch time. I asked my server if they had a small printed take away menu he said "No", then smiled pointed to the board and joked "take a picture".

Cyprus Mangal is a top class outlet for kebabs and I will definitely return next time I am Victoria bound to try their other dishes.

If you're looking for pure personality and character then head to the Regency Cafe (http://trustedplaces.com/review/uk/london/cafe/1v6wn8/regency-cafe) but if you just want a super breakfast for almost half the price then XLNT will hit the spot.Excellent and incredibly cheap english breakfast - Â£3.50 for a full cooked breakfast with toast and tea or coffee. The authentic London cafe, if you only ever go to one make it this one.

The set breakfast on a Saturday morning is a great start to the weekend and the booming voice shouting out when your order is ready really is something to be experienced - just make sure you're ready when it's your order that's called :)

Good service, good food. There are cheaper alternatives nearby (see XLNT: http://trustedplaces.com/review/uk/london/cafe/1a72m7w/x-l-n-t) but the Regency has great personality and is a must visit.The authentic London cafe, if you only ever go to one make it this one.

Unfriendly, rude barman works here. Pours the worst beers in london with massive heads. Refuses to correct the head in snob like fashion. Went there 13th nov, 2009 night. Two guys working behind the bar are typical london snobs. They have no sense of pub tradition or etiquette.Horrible bar attitude, disgusting service. went there last night, the food was ready in two minutes not a good sign. It was 90% cool to tepid! Four of the six dishes were really bland and old. Surprise, nobody asked how the food was. The music we had to ask to take off or change as it came and went on/off/on/off!
When the bill came, we put more than the bill by ten pounds and the waiter asked 3 times, "All for me" -only to be told 3 times -"no bring the change"!!! ....AVOIDwent there last night, the food was ready in two minutes not a good sign. AVOID-
we went last night friday, tried 3 beers all were flat, vinegar, very badly kept, the 'landlord' -( use the term loosely!) said nothing, we had a Youngs which was very average.

Then a fight nearly broke out, everyone was visibly upset, the 'landlord' just put the offenders at different ends of the pub!

A couple complained about the wine, eventually got a refund and left. The barstaff and 'landlord' just laughed about it, probably thinking you dare to come in here expecting good service, beer and wine and then complain-HA

The toilets were disgusting, dirty, smelly, graffitti, damp walls, need of a good o lick of paint.

7 Americans came in for dinner, the landlord' told them to get their own menus, they made their choice, went to the bar to order, the'landlord' said, "No snack food only"! and this was 8.15 at night, welcome to London

Jermyn Street is home to many great shops to buy men's clothing, so there is a lot of competition. I have visited Herbie Frogg a few times and I consistently received poor service. It is unfortunate because some of the clothes are acceptable, particularly for the price. Upscale service in Royal Horseguards Hotel just down from the Defence Ministry on Whitehall and a block over from the Battle of Britain Monument on the Thames. The duck and sea bass were excellent as were their potatoes. Creamed potatoes might seem too plebian but theirs were exquisite. Lobster Bisque tasted very fresh, served hot with many pieces of lobster. Highly recommended! This is a great little pub, one of my favourites and from what I can work out the only decent one in SW1 (please, PLEASE disillusion me if you know of any others).

It's a Shepherd Neame house, always a good thing! They boast a narrow range (Master Brew, Spitfire and the seasonal beer, at present the delicious Autumn Red) but it's always top drawer.

The pub itself is very small and consequently gets very busy. In the evenings a crowd tends to spill out across the broad pavement outside. But it is a beautiful little building. Full of dark oak panelling and adorned with the most vibrant window boxes and hanging baskets, it's a real beauty.

I haven't eaten there. I believe they do a modest selection of sandwiches and toasties. I came to the cinnamon club bar on Fri 17th July as they had a club night on with a DJ and it was great! had a really good atmosphere, we all had lots of fun as well as some delicious cocktails! They are having a 70's and 80's night on the 31st July, can't wait!

Review for: 123 Buckingham Palace Road, Victoria London, SW1W 9SR. The one in the building next to Vitoria Coach station. Around 6.30pm on 11/07/09.

Riduculous and rude staff. Went in and stood there waiting for 15 plus minutes just to get a ham sub. It wasn't crowded. I was already being served but they prefered to chat away and leave the sandwich there waiting and serve someone else behind me rather than finish making it and giving it to me first. I have to repeat myself like 3-4 times each time because they were NEVER paying attention. Preffered bitching about the previous customers rather than making the sandwich. Gave an attitude to the customer before me just because he asked him to pack his foot long sandwich into 2 seperate bags so he can have the second one later. After that he stood there ranting and complaining to his partner about it which was irritating. He would ask a question like "What bread?" I would say "Honey Oat" But when i said that he was talking again to his partner then he asked me again... TWICE! I had to answer him twice for every question he asked cause he wasn't friggin paying attention. When I complained to him he said I was impatient and I have a lot of knowledge compared to him at making subways cause he had 4 yrs. I was questioning 4 years of experience. Well, all I have to say is, I never knew it took four years to learn to make a sandwich. WOW! I love subway honestly I do. Never met a worker as rude as him before. Hope he wins the best sandwich award with his 4 years experience!

This pace is amazing!!!! - the best Italian restaurant I have been to in a very long time. The service was excellent and the staff were really friendly.
The place was bustling with people.
I had the tagietelli with fresh lobster and I have to say I have never tasted anything like it! The starters were equally yummy and interesting. My friend had the veal with mushrooms which was also fantastic.

Had to drop a quick note ... we moved house 6 months ago and discovered "LB's" when starting to re-decorate and have since become regular shoppers. It's made re-decoration much easier for us. We have found the staff to be very friendly, they even look things out for us now that they have to come know us. Looks great from the outside, unfortunately once inside it is apparent that the Albert Tavern is a tourist trap, with the price scheme seemingly designed to rip them off.
The beer is expensive but reasonable quality. The food is...well terrible.
I asked for a falafel burger and chips and what I got looked like a cheap veggie burger (with cheapest quality burger bun) and unappetising chips. It cost Â£6.99 + Â£3.21 for a beer, you can get better in Wetherspoons for Â£5.49 for both.
The barman gave me Â£5 less change than I should have got, if I hadn't have noticed and told him I would have paid over Â£15 for a meal that can be gotten from any take away in London for Â£4.

This is one of my favourites. What can be better than a Scottish whisky and cigar bar? Well this place also has great Jazz and excellent food. You can either eat in the fairly pricey, but worth it, restaurant. Or you can eat from the bar menu (there are actually two bars here. One is like a mini pub?).
I have to say that I have eaten and tried a lot of burgers in my life, but the truffle burger served at the bar here, is no less than "the greatest burger in the world" (assuming you like truffle!). The restaurant has never disappointed me, serving excellent food to the highest standards.
For the smokers amongst you, since the ban, they have created an upstairs terrace which is great...even in winter!
If you arrive later or stay later, they do often require a payment for the band. The Jazz is often extremely good and enjoyable and inishes the evening nicely.This is one of my favourites. What can be better than a Scottish whisky and cigar bar? Well this place also has great Jazz and excellent food. You can either eat in the fairly pricey, but worth it, restaurant. Or you can eat from the bar menu (there are actually two bars here. One is like a mini pub?).
I have to say that I have eaten and tried a lot of burgers in my life, but the truffle burger served at the bar here, is no less than "the greatest burger in the world" (assuming you like truffle!). The restaurant has never disappointed me, serving excellent food to the highest standards.
For the smokers amongst you, since the ban, they have created an upstairs terrace which is great...even in winter!
If you arrive later or stay later, they do often require a payment for the band. The Jazz is often extremely good and enjoyable and inishes the evening nicely.
