Despite living nearby, I had not ventured into strada in my own area, but I have been to several others in towns where friends live. I have always enjoyed meals in this chain of restaurants and the service has always been good, so I was keen to see if this particular restaurant of the strada chain lived up to the reputation the company had built up for itself. I am pleased to report that it does, in bucket loads! The view from upstairs, especially at night is so romantic and is a fabulous place to take your partner for a romantic meal. There's strangely an un-explored niche in the Richmond dining area: good places for brunch.

What's in a brunch? To me, a good brunch is informal (need to be able to bring the kids), good value and offering a range of options, not just a cooked breakfast.

We went to Annie's this Mothering Sunday and liked it. We've been there before and liked it: the decoration is warm, the uncovered oak tables inviting but the chairs are cosy rather than too pub-like. They do offer a brunch menu: full English Breakfast, but also a few eggy versions (Benedict, Florentine, with smoked salmon, etc...), all between Â£8 and Â£9, kiddies go full English for a fiver (one is enough for two sub-7 fairies).

I really like it at night too: it's a classic brasseie menu, not too extensive and fresh. Dishes are between Â£10 and Â£15 -now I wonder why we don't come back more often? When you've just got to have a curry this is the only place in Barnes. All the old favourites, nothing fancy but it never fails. And it's cheap.

Another local of mine & I'd really like to like this place.

The bar is nice, staff friendly & it has a super garden at the back but the food is very hit and miss and for the prices it has to be consistent.

Both the Brown Dog and The Depot nearby are better for the price.

This place used to have a wide selection of local and foreign drinks, since the L'Auberge (restaurant) addition, it's since become a bit of a giant, generic pub, which looks good on first impressions, but is so big it feels a bit vacuous, lacks atmosphere.
But it 'is' big, does do parties, and is pretty good for watching sports.
The food used to be good, but I've not tried it since the change-over.
To summarise:
- Not bad for drinking in groups.
- They sold out.

Fantastic curry, been too many times to count. Everything on the menu has a special touch, quality ingredients and great flavours. And if you like it hot (damn hot), ask them for their cobra chillies (while stocks last ;).

The service is also great, have gotten to know them well now. If they're not too busy, they're always willing to have a chat and tell you the virtues of their cuisine and ingredients.

The owner is a veteran restauranter, with two other restaurants in the south west.Fantastic curry, been too many times to count.
