The museum houses very old gold bars to modern gold bullion used from trading and the gold standard. The bank also houses a very special collection of coins and a unique collection of banknotes. There are unexpected antiques also housed in the museum such as muskets, swords, guns and cannons dating from when the bank had to defend itself from attack. The bank holds documents from many notable costumers.

Museum contained inside the Bank of England which tells the tale of the bank of England from its foundation and founding in the Royal Charter in 1694 to its current function in recent years as the national bank .
Barbican Centre - great venue by shopaholcleo

The staff were good, giving us any free leaflets, activity sheets going (even though we're far too old). As per usual photography wasn't allowed, but there were a few images of the clothes on postcards. A lot of the stuff in the shop was expensive but that's to be expected. Anyway, the venue was perfect for this kind of exhibiton and the pieces were shown off at their best, accompanied with fashion shows on video. Feel I got my money's worth, what with all the outfits shown, and look forward to coming back.I came here to see the Viktor and Rolf exhibition, which was fantastic and informative.
Museum Of London - okish by candyshop

The museum itself is very interesting, however when I arrived in mid morning, I was suprised to see so many school kids. There were about 6 different schools visiting that day. Each school name was proudly displayed for all to see. Unfortunally, there were no manners on display and the teachers had little control over the little ones as they dashed about here and there.

It became impossible for me to concentrate with all the noise and distraction. I mentioned it to several staff who agreed that this is unfair to others like myself who are used to a more respectful enviroment but said at the end of the day it is up to the teachers to keep kids under control. Staff still had a full time job trying to safeguard the place from any broken items.

I hope to visit again some time when hopefully the place will be more quiet and I too can benefit from my stay.
I visited this place a while ago.
