A truly fantastic place. The range of food you can get, from fresh fish, to fudge, from quince pate to lettuce still with their roots... it makes it unique. Traders are all exceptionally friendly and willing to advise and make suggestions. The quality is always superb, and while one can spend a fortune, the costs are all reasonable and all in all, good value for money! There's also a fab little cafe there.A truly fantastic place. When you first see the queue for this shop, you might be forgiven for thinking that is exactly what you will be when you reach the counter. Absolutely starving. However that is not true at all. The queue is also there for a reason. The food is delicious and its not a secret anymore! The bacon baguettes are my favourite - the bacon is so crispy and tasty! However they have quite a varied menu so all tastes will find something they enjoy. Their soups are also known far and wide and they have a changing menu for these as well. This place sold me some Smirrnoff Vodka. It was actually full of dirty tap water. I went back to the shop and got a refund straight away. It was obvious that they were scamming people whom they thought were drunk or perhaps wouldn't come back.

Monmouth make seriously good coffee. One of a handful of places in london where you can get a decent latte. Sorry - no trim milk here they use non pasturised organic whole milk, but I'd happily be fat in exchange for the quality of their coffee. The food is pretty good too and you can visit the markets afterwards! For those that prefer to make coffee at home, they also have a great selection of beans.Monmouth make seriously good coffee. Being from the Midlands, and family from Somerset naturally I love cheese.

I didn't realise this place existed until a sample of cheese was handed to me on the street (my ultimate dream).

The smell of the shop is overwealming but in a wonderful way and I brought the most amazing goats cheese.

My brother also a cheese fanatic will soon be taking a trip to what I call London's cheese heaven.Being from the Midlands, and family from Somerset naturally I love cheese.
