The Swaad is an absolute delight of a place. The staff were friendly and charming and especially accommodating to our slightly boisterous 18-month-old (this was during a fairly quiet Sunday afternoon visit at the end of lunchtime so I should stress that other diners didn't suffer) and we were made to feel most welcome. The food was very good, with a pleasantly unexpected selection of dishes and some excellent vegetarian options too. It might not be the fanciest restaurant in town but it has a very pleasant atmosphere and is a good bet of all the eateries in Leytonstone for a visit.The Swaad is an absolute delight of a place. It seems slightly churlish for me to think of awarding the Ichiban only four out of five stars in this review, since Iâ¬"ve now read the glowing write-ups everyone else has been giving it â¬ and there is only one reason Iâ¬"d even think of knocking a star off this restaurantâ¬"s rating and that has nothing to do with the food â¬ which is abundant, of excellent quality, inexpensive and beautifully served (some dishes in gorgeous lacquer boxes) or the ambience â¬ which is small-restaurant cosy, and very nice. No, the only possible negative point anyone could think of raising regarding this restaurant concerns its rather unexpected opening schedule. This was the worst kosher restaurant we have ever been to & we never got to eat anything as we walked out minutes after the owner starting insulting us. All fish options & most of the regular meat options where not available all but the well presented EXPENSIVE beef alternatives had been offered to us & when we questioned the limited menu we were made to feel like we are being cheap. The owner accused us of being arrogant & was rude enough to comment we should go elsewhere, my pregnant wife was disgusted by the owners attitude considering our party of four where the only customers in the restaurant. A restaurant that chooses for their customers what they can eat & charges them inflated prices without any shame should not be in business.
From one kosher eater to another - STAY AWAY, there are many places to enjoy the atmosphere & menu.

I went to this place with some friends based solely on the reviews from trusted places and i am glad to report that the web site is working well! We had a great time. The previous reviewers were raving about the ribs â¬ this is one of my favourite dishes which is why we came here â¬ I just had to try them too! Again, the previous reviewers were spot on. They are absolutely delicious! The meat just falls off the bone as they are cooked to perfection. I really do love thai restaurants, and this place is no different. Actually thatâ¬"s a lie. This place is fantastic in all respects! This is a new one on me! I had never been to a Moroccan restaurant before and I really didnâ¬"t know what type of food and dishes that would be available. I am glad to say I had a fabulous time! The staff were really nice and really helpful to me â¬ I had no idea what to have and the serving staff gave me a number of ideas of things I might like. I took their advice and am pleased to say they got it spot on. I loved everything that was ordered. The food here is absolutely delicious and I have been back several times as a result. The prices are also great, really cheap for the amount of food you get and the quality tooThis is a new one on me! WOW I love their breakfasts! Itâ¬"s an absolutely perfect place to go after spending a night with a loved one! Its romantic first thing in the morning and its still romantic last thing at night! The staff are so accommodating and friendly. They will do anything to make your experience there an enjoyable and relaxing one. The menu is really good, there is lots to choose from (like I say their breakfasts are to die for!) but they also have a huge amount of other things to eat. Prices are also good for this area of London, you really canâ¬"t go wrong with spending some time here!WOW I love their breakfasts! The food in this fabulous thai restaurant has an intense flavour and aroma to it. Its not the hotness of the chillies they add either, its natural food cooked perfectly without changing the taste to suit the british palate. The place itself is authentically thai and so are the waiting staff â¬ really friendly and will do anything for you. You get a great welcome and never have to wait long for your table. The prices of the meals are also good for this area so you really do get a cheap meal. I think perhaps it initially put me off but once you are inside you would have no idea where you are eating! The staff are fantastic and so they should be â¬ it would have taken you weeks to get a table so first impressions are everything, and they really do make you feel welcome. This is a place to go if you want a unique meal! I opted for this place a while ago when I was on a first date, and it went perfectly â¬ the unique meals on the menu helped us along and gave us lots to talk about! Despite living nearby, I had not ventured into strada in my own area, but I have been to several others in towns where friends live. I have always enjoyed meals in this chain of restaurants and the service has always been good, so I was keen to see if this particular restaurant of the strada chain lived up to the reputation the company had built up for itself. I am pleased to report that it does, in bucket loads! The view from upstairs, especially at night is so romantic and is a fabulous place to take your partner for a romantic meal. This is one of my most favourite Indian restaurants for both a meal in the restaurant and for a piping hot take away! The staff here make you feel so welcome when you go for a sit down meal. They are attentive without being at your table constantly and you never have to wait long once you have ordered. The menu has all the usual Indian type dishes, lots of hot curries and lots of other things too, so everyone will be able to find something they like. When the food arrives it really has the most amazing aromas and tastes absolutely delicious! What a fantastic place to have a unique meal! A few of my friends have been here before and I have heard rave reviews from elsewhere so I could not wait to try out the delights they have on offer here. Gaining entry is exactly how the other reviewers have stated. The only downside on the place is that I felt it was a little cold â¬ not just in temperature but in the intimacy and romance meaning as well. However the food is gorgeous! And yes, i have to say i agree with the previous reviewer whole heartedly. Despite the number of stars dining here, it doesn't do a huge song and dance about their clientele or have its own head up its bottom. The staff here are just normal, not pretentious in any way. They really are nice people, friendly and welcoming. They get on well with everyone and do a fantastic job! The menu has lots of choices for everyone, even veggies, so all will be able to find something that makes their taste buds dance. Food tastes delicious and canâ¬"t be faulted. I totally agree with the previous review. I'm a meat eater and proud, however this place has opened my eyes to the delights of vegan and vegetarian meals. The place itself is absolutely tiny, miniscule, couldn't swing a cat, but they still manage to crap in quite a few people without it feeling too cramped and the intimacy is still there. A bit like the tardis! The menu is huge and lots to choose from and even meat eaters will find lots they would like to sample. Service is really good too, you never have to wait long to be served. After its recent refurb, the Conduit has become somewhat of a local for office goers and Marylebonites. nestled behind Wigmore street, the gastro pub, come cocktail bar is a great hang-out with a late license, ideal if you live in Marylebone. The food isn't great, (although I've only eaten there once almost a year ago) but the ambiance, the stylish decor and the friendly staff are worth visiting for. The downstairs cocktail bar is great especially for private parties, or if you're like me, afterwork drinks with the office. Look out for the owner too. Top Geezer and all-round nice guy. As I recently moved to Swiss Cottage, I wanted a local restaurant to visit one Saturday. I booked Bradley's a day in advance and requested a quiet table to sit at. The request was taken seriously and we were placed in a small alcove near the back of the room (the best table in the room). Service was impressive and the wine list excellent. The food was was prompt and delicious. I had the crab and avocado starter and the sword fish main. Just a really small and brilliant restaurant hidden away behind Swiss cottage station. Devoid of any sort of atmosphere, this is the sort of place that gives you that creeping feeling you've made a mistake as soon as you're shown to your table. Everything about it is average, except the prices, which are slightly north of where they should be, even smack in the middle of Borough Market.

The menu is, to their credit, nice and simple; steaks, burgers and the sort of sundry brasserie also-rans for those bored with beef. The problem is, even this pared-down selection seems to be beyond the kitchen's ability, as so-so steaks come overdone, burgers lack lustre and the chips just aren't... that... great. The wine list should be ashamed to be sharing a street with Vinopolis, Wine Wharf and Majestic: it's dull, uninspired and uninspiring.

Service-wise, my scoring falls slightly below the average mark, with a colleague of mine once waiting 20 minutes for the bill to arrive, only to walk out without paying (unchallenged) as he was late for a meeting and incensed at being ignored. Personally I've only ever felt vaguely tolerated whilst there.

On a high street in Doncaster, this place would probably stand head and shoulders above its peers. Unfortunately the competition within 30 metres' radius of Black and Blue (Wright Bros, Feng Sushi, Roast, Brindisa, Applebees, etc etc etc) is some of the stiffest in its class in London and B&B just doesn't stack up. If you're in the area and really *need* a steak, do yourself a favour and climb the staircase to Roast.

The cows outside do make me chuckle though. One of those stars is for those alone.

The wine list should be ashamed to be sharing a street with Vinopolis, Wine Wharf and Majestic: it's dull, uninspired and uninspiring.

Service-wise, my scoring falls slightly below the average mark, with a colleague of mine once waiting 20 minutes for the bill to arrive, only to walk out without paying (unchallenged) as he was late for a meeting and incensed at being ignored. Personally I've only ever felt vaguely tolerated whilst there.

On a high street in Doncaster, this place would probably stand head and shoulders above its peers. Unfortunately the competition within 30 metres' radius of Black and Blue (Wright Bros, Feng Sushi, Roast, Brindisa, Applebees, etc etc etc) is some of the stiffest in its class in London and B&B just doesn't stack up. If you're in the area and really *need* a steak, do yourself a favour and climb the staircase to Roast.

The cows outside do make me chuckle though. One of those stars is for those alone.
