The hotel is in a very beutiful area, within easy reach of 2 metro stations, the Earl's Court and the Gloucester Road. It's managed by affable and helpful people, The rooms are not so big but very comfortable and have all you need, even the phon and the iron with its ironing board! The cost for a day is not very expensive comparative to other hotels (also in worse areas),

Outstandingly rude and arrogant people who are not professional and should not be doing sales at all! I have never been so shocked to be treated with no respect by people who live in this country and cannot express themselves in English adequately giving me the impression that they were crooks! On a positive side they said they didn't need me as a customer and returned my deposit! Unbelievable that these people can operate in Britain this way and get away with it! Stay away from this company.
This travel agency is not with ABTA.

I'm now booking my 3rd holiday with them.

Burnt by a stunt with Expedia who took 5 days to refund 2 grand on a holiday their system happened to "book by mistake", I decided to go back to the old fashioned face to face holiday booking.

Now that I know them better I generally call them and give them the brief which generally reads:
1 or 2 adults 2 kids/hot climate/sea and pool/ and ends with VERY CHEAP!

And they've never failed to deliver!

I'm now booking my 3rd holiday with them.

apparently u must rate this hole of a place to publish your review, i do not give this place one star, it is disgusting
this place is the worst hotel i heve ever stayed in, not only is it expensive for what you get but the staff baltently lie and are completely unhelpful in all cases. the bathroom are absolutely filthy and smell, as does the shower, when you turn on the water it is almost impossible to regulate the tempetature, and it is set to incinerate so you just end up losing a layer of skin.
apparently breakfast is included but inthe mornig the restaurant is shut and there is no one ot contact, there is noone at reception and the porter has left for his other job. every door in the place sticks, this morning i had to resuce a poor frenchman from the bathroom, he had been locked inthere for 40 minutes and whne i rang the porter i was told just to pull the door as hard as i could while the frenchman pushed as well.

the rom are filthy as well, with dirt and hair matted on the carpet and what ican only hope was a sink full of facial hair, absolutley disgusting place, could not reccommend in the slightest

In this hostel are dirty carpets with many black spots, on walls are a lot of mold.
Tiles in bathroom aren't plastered - they are loose and there are mold also.
If you want cook sth in the kitchen - take with you dishes - there isn't anything.
Localisation is great and this is one advantage.
If you whant see thos in your own eyes I have a real pictures.In this hostel are dirty carpets with many black spots, on walls are a lot of mold.

I booked this Hotel 3 months in advance to make sure I would get a room.When I arrived soaking wet and after struggling to get all my bags up slippery wet steps, I was told that I was booked into another Hotel just along the street with a completely different name so I struggled alone to the new Hotel where I found I had to go to another Hotel with a different name next door. Really Bad
Accommodation - room basic shower with a door that didn't close, WC that you had to sit sideways on as the door was 6 inches from the seat so you couldn't sit straight, this was shared between three rooms, very, very bad. They said all three Hotels were the same one but why different names and why was I sent to the others when I had booked into the Acropolis?
Trust me you really want to stay away. I'm giving 4 stars to this hostel because it's the most central hostel in London you can sleep in for that price!

You can choose from a 10 bed-room to a single en-suite room (although some 8 bed-rooms have a shower as well). One night in a 8 bed-room i.g. is 16 Pounds during the week and 20 P at the weekend. I wouldn't recommend to stay in a single or double room because you can get better rooms in a hotel.

There are about 700 beds on 5 levels (there's a lift) a luggage storage for i.g. when you arrive early, nightly party events (although I've never been there), a common room, an Internet cafÃ© and a breakfast room. But all I can say about the breakfast, is: It's ridiculous! You get a voucher on your arrival for one free slice of toast! There are much better cafÃ©s around the corner to have a healthy breakfast after a long night out.
The rooms are not that clean sometimes, especially in the 4 bed-rooms (I don't know why that is) while the 6 and 8 bed-rooms are better, but as you will only be partying, shopping or sightseeing anyway, you only do need a bed to sleep in at the end.

What else can I say?? I don't know, but if you are searching a cheap hostel in the middle of London, this is the best you can choose!

my friends came to visit for few days at the begining of May.
You know reunion after long term. It was difficult to accommodate all fo them at my place so I found B&B for them nearby. It was Charlie Hotel in Anson road.
It is very effordable hotel with not highest standard but nice friendly atmosphere - very funny Greek old gentelman took care about us and made us laught.
It is kind of old fashion place which needs general refurbishment, but all rooms are en-suit, breakfast included, Wifi and parking in backyard included in price.

Where to start on this "Hotel".... or should the be hostel?
First impressions were not great as my En-suite room turned out to be about 4ft X 12ft with a 2'6" bed.

The room was filthy to say the least, with an accumulation of dust and dirt in the corners and a worn out and stained carpet. The window sill was black with dirt and water marks and the only working light in the room was a bare bulb (the bedside wall light didn't work)

The shower room was so small that one could sit on the toilet, wash your hair in the sink and wash your feet in the shower all at the same time! You would need to be a contortionest to use it and god help anyone who has impaired movement.

The shower was either a freezing drizzle or a boiling torrent, the fixed head only showered the oposite wall and the mixer came out of two large, ungrouted, holes in the tiles. The water in the wash basin was a mere drizzle and never got hotter than about 20 degrees C. The bathroom extractor fan barely worked from being clogged by filth.

The sheets, at first sight, appeared to be clean, if not the rest of the linen. However, looks can be deceptive and I left with several septic bites on my person and developed a rather nasty rash on my face. Wheather this is from the obvious infestation or from their detergent I don't know. I suspect the former!

The only way to sleep was with the aid of ear plugs due to the snoring from the room next door.

I cannot comment on the "continental" breakfast, which, as far as I can gather, consists of toast and orange juice.
I concluded that, given the standard of cleaning in the public areas, the same care and attention to cleaning was not likely to be lavished on the private kitchen.

Yes, this is budget accomodation. BUT there is budget and budget! The room I was in was £35 per night. Not a great deal of money, but considering I could have had a large, clean and comfortable en-suite room at somewhere like travel lodge or premier inn for about £56, it's put in persective. Which is why I suspect that they insist on full payment for the duration of your stay BEFORE they show you your "room".

This self-styled hotel is at best a rip off and at worst a public health hazzard and could not, in any way, shape or form be recomended to anyone.

I stayed in the Roland House studio for 3 months. Its location is very good for the London area. However, it is certainly not as advertised. Communication with management was not good. Upon arrival despite having paid a deposit and written numerous notes, the apt was not cleaned and was subsequently cleaned to a modest degree. Cable TV consisted of BBC1 and BBC2, ITV1 and intermittent CNN or Sky News. Broadband would not fuction at times and repairs would occur especially over the weekends. The elevators frequently broke down and took weeks to repair. The gym can only be used after an official "induction" held maybe once or twice a month. The closet is tiny and only comes with 8 coathangers. The kitchen is also small. There is no oven and and no freezer. II stayed in the Roland House studio for 3 months. I stayed at the Mandeville recently after having Afternoon Tea there with some friends for a hen party. It is such a funky design hotel but not at all intimidating or uncomfortable.

We boyfriend treated me to a romantic stay at The Cavendish a few months, and had a great time. Now I'm recommending all of my friends from abarod to consider staying there. The Cavendish, very centrally located within walking distance to Picadilly Circus was a very comfortable, very clean, modern hotel with excellent service and rooms and good food. The staff were polite and very helpful.

I stayed in MiNC Serviced Apartments recently with some friends. It was an excellent base for our week long shopping trip. The Apartments are stylish, modern and fully kicked out. It was like having our own kitty pad right in the heart of Londonâ¬"s west end.
