I was very dissapointed when i went to this gentlemens club,I was expecting to see beautiful goddesses dancing, what we saw was the complete opposit!.
Presentation inside poor.Girls not impressive at all.
I wouldnt reccommend this gentlemens club to anyone who want to see a high class/fantasy/sexy/beautiful woman.

The bouncers are rude and unprofessional. They made up excuse after excuse not to let me in, while I was on the guest list and 8 of my friends were already inside, having paid the Â£20 cover charge.
You see they are frustrated the kind of people who abuse their right of decision to waste people's nights out.

The only thing I didnt do right: I followed my friends through the open red cord (open by one of the bouncers) after they had come out to greet me. When the bouncers called me I came back to them without any rebellion and they told me to leave because I was drunk (I had had two beers)...

Barden's Boudoir is a fucking shit venue. I've been there a couple of times, I've been to other gigs in my life, I know a shit venue.

The sound is atrocious, its unforgivable. There have been many great bands playing there, I've seen them before, I've heard them before, but at Barden's they sound shit. I've seen shows there with different sound engineers and they all sound crap.

Maybe the place is cursed and bands, who are usually great, they play there and their instruments go out of tune, they lose their voices and forget the words, its not the bands fault, they just need to avoid the venue like the plague it is.

The crowd, the audience, at Barden's, are scum. I don't mean they could do with a wash, should get jobs and stop swearing at buses, I mean purely in the context of audiences at gigs. They only stick around for the one band they want to see in a night, they talk loudly through all the bands that play. They drown out the music and not with amusing banter or heckles, just banal meaningless rhubarb.

Go there, look around when a band is playing. What do you reckon, 70%, 80% of the crowd don't give a shit? Last night there were three girls stood on a table presumably to get a better view of the stage, but not actually facing the stage, facing each other and their conversation. Sure the guy on the door gets his money, but what's the point of booking bands at all?

I like to think I'm not some small-minded, prejudiced bigot. But sometimes I have my doubts and need to reassure myself.

So maybe I've just caught bad nights at Barden's, its just fate and coincidence that the bands, the venue and the crowd don't gel.

One way to prove it would be if someone said "Hey come to this gigs, the bands sound great and the audience are fabulous, maybe even the beer will be worth what you pay for"

One of the worst places I have every held a party at. Food was not edible. Atmosphere was like a grave yard. I would never go back to the places again. A huge embarrassment.

Hereâ¬"s what happenedâ¬¦ I book the Ashbar (funky brown) for an engagement party which had about 30 guests on a Sunday, when placing the booking I was told that the places is very busy, it has good food and loud music. Before making the booking I and my partner decided to try the food and at the time the food was good, hence why I placed the booking. On the day of the event my entire guest turned up, exactly... only my guest turned up. Where music was concerned, there was no music. They could not be bothered to play any type of music. Food, what can I sayâ¬¦how about COLD within 2 minutes, food that even I could cook better. Tasted like microwave food. I could understand if the place was busy but it actually was not that busy, when I complained about the food, the manager started to argue with me and saying â¬Sthe food has gone cold because no one has been eating it, it was hot when it was servedâ¬

If you liked visiting wild-west theme parks when you were a kid then this is for you. The 'london street' feels cheap and not classy at all - no matter what the designers will have you believe. It is a small venue that feels unfinished and sparse, compared to the decadent stylishness the descriptions suggest.

This place is actually quite good for a night out, without the pretentiousness of some of londons leading clubs, It has a floor dedicated to dancing (in the basement), and on the entrance floor (ground), there is a large sitting area to socialise, this is great, it allows you to chat and talk without the need for shouting, and when you want the music loud you simply go downstairs and enjoy.

The Music ranges from the latest RnB, to House Classics. The drink selection is pretty impressive, they have proberbly one of the best top shelf selections I have encountered in London, ranging from Pinga 51 to JW Blue Label, and JW Swing. Pricewise very reasonable, a Jack and coke for Â£6.50.

Dont expect celebritys, or there hanger - ons, just expect nice, friendly people, a great atmosphere, sensible pricing, and most of all a great way to spend a saturday night.

I was walking past this place, and James the guy on the door who I knew previously from Funky Budhha, asked if id like to go in and take a look.

I went downstairs, and didnt come back up again, the place was rocking, a great mix of people, cultures, and not one person giving attitude, or problems.

I was taken along here, by one of the regular DJ's who plays at the venue. I found it to be a maze of a place, with corridors and rooms appearing on each turn.
Im not to keen on the amount of different rooms, as its hard to workout which room the action is, and you can sometimes feel like your missing out in the other room.

The place didnt seem to expensive, and getting a drink didnt take too long, if your into finer refined clubs this is not for you, its young, studenty, alternative dance crowd, music was pretty impressive.

For some reason, I have never enjoyed myself at this place, I went their a few times, and didnt like the atmosphere, the staff, anything.
Others say great things, but I just find it a little "wanting", other clubs like 24, Boujis, Funky Buddha, Paper etc, seem to have a soul, atmosphere, this place just seems to be missing something.

Summing up

Prior to visiting this place, I expected it to be expensive, pretentious, unfriendly, and frankly a bit of a bore, I was so wrong..
This place was great, the people are friendly, the crowd was happy, the drinks were pricey, but high quality..
Generally a good place to go out, and have fun, especially midweek.

This venue is brilliant, I went there for the weekly comedy night which, in itself was very funny and a good night out, I would reccomend it although I do prefer the Chiswick version of the same club (Headliners) However the venue tucked away in the depths of Ealing Studios thre is a stage, bar and lots of paited exposed brickwork. The size would make any event there intimate and the fairy lights made it seem all the more special. Going in with your name on a list to this place you never new existed (despite living in ealing for almost 18 years I was unaware they did anything other than make films in the studios, feels kind of elitest. i got lost. i got hypnotised by a giant inflatable ball. i refused to purchase more than 1 bottle of beer for Â£4 (ok as i was already very tipsy). i boogied to some old school tunes and some decent new ones. i had a drunken snog. i was able to walk home (although i didn't).

I've always loved Ion Bar, been going for nearly 10 years, ever since it first opened - a great place for music and a not-too-young, good looking, mostly black crowd. It was sad when it closed originally and a shame it's closed again. I know there's been some trouble around it, but in all the times I've been, never a hint of a problem. When I was a teenager up in Scotland far too many years ago, I used to read adverts in Sounds and the NME for Punk bands like the clash and Pistols appearing at the 100 Club and would dream of being able to attend these gigs.

Well 30 years on the 100 Club is alive and well and still putting on excellent shows.

I managed to catch the Blockheads there recently, and apart from the Pinstriped city boys trying their best to be one of the crowd with mockney accents, it was a brilliant night.

Its in a basement, its crowded, the bars are too busy, it gets very hot, but the atmosphere is electric and the acoustics ring!

The club has a great system where you can order tickets for gigs online, pay by paypal, then you give your paypal name at the door and your let in....tremendous. The tickets were very cheap considering the rip-off prices you pay at some venues.

Give it a try....its a different and enjoyable night out and they have some great acts. I went to see Roni Size at Scala and the venue was amazing for live gigs! it had just the right amount of people and for a weknight it was show on then finish at reasonable hour so those work heads can get some sleep! Coming here was a bit more traumatic than I had ever expected. Don't get me wrong, I occasionally go clubbing in GAY Astoria and it's fine, I have plenty of fun but I've never been made to feel so insignificant in my life! We were all dancing in a group drinking but whenever anyone male went past, they barged into one of us without apologising. It was almost as if we were taking up precious space that might otherwise be occupied with a hot man...lol.
