This new Fulham pub is great for small private parties. I hadn't been there until a friend recommend i try it as a good venue for my birthday.

I reserved a table for 12 of us which i thought might be a bit of a problem but it wasn't. The Rose pub is deceptively large and they were able to give us a lovely long table round one side of teh very cool circular bar which was perfect.

The pub was quite busy on Sunday (not as busy as other Fulham Pubs though) but they treated us really well and the food was great - really traditional Sunday lunch with big portions and brilliantly cooked.

I spoke to Emily who runs the Rose and she explained that they poached a couple of chefs from other West London pubs and how good they were. I can only agree having wolfed down my lunch in double quick time and followed it up with a sumptuous chocolate brownie cake and cream. delicious.

The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome - more so that the family next to us but i can't blame them as we were pretty rowdy.

Went to this bar a few weeks ago - all I can say is DON'T GO HERE unless you want a rubbish night. The club was full of thugs and the bouncers treat all customers like thugs. One of the better bars in London this side of town. Well stocked, a huge range of bourbons and whiskeys and great food. The music is more modern blues with the Sunday Blues Jam sessions being absolutely fantastic. Recommended.One of the better bars in London this side of town. This was my local for years - I loved it! A nice big pub, all good. New owners or new management mean the food quality has really gone down the hill - dreadful food now. And the last few times I have been there, there has been no soap in the women's bathroom, so I dread to imagine the female staff pulling pints and cooking food with unclean hands... yuck. One time no soap, OK, that's just bad luck. But four times? That's poor managment. It's Soho, so easy to find another pub nearby - avoid this one!This was my local for years - I loved it! Went here after seeing some good stuff online, and was very impressed. It's quite a big building, but split into the bar, the restauranty (big tables) bit, and the pool room upstairs. The staff and food were of the highest quality. Probably the best gastropub evening I've had in London. Unfriendly, rude barman works here. Pours the worst beers in london with massive heads. Refuses to correct the head in snob like fashion. Went there 13th nov, 2009 night. Two guys working behind the bar are typical london snobs. They have no sense of pub tradition or etiquette.Horrible bar attitude, disgusting service. LOVE the Market Porter. Always buzzing, great sleection of drinks and a fab atmosphere. It is really busy all the time (not to its detriment) so sometimes it can take a few minutes to get served, but it doesn't detract at all. Highly recommended.LOVE the Market Porter. This is a cool little place. It has quite an intimate feel without being to invasive, almost like being in someone's living room with a bunch of mates. Lots of music, often bands and live jazz on. Nice food. Oh and I think they have board games (!)

I work around the corner from Match and every time I pop in it never disappoints. The food's good and the staff are really nice. A great place to go for a salt-of-the-earth-sunday-lunch. I used to qork in the area a few years ago and went sometimes. Then it was a Thai place and, although nice, was a little dingey. It's recently been taken over by new owners and revamped and it is wonderful! Can't recommend the place more: friendly atmosphere without being too invasive, jukebox, live music, good beer! I just came here for a bottle of wine with a friend and it is the perfect find when you are stressed out with the noise and tourists up and down charing cross road. It's such a relief to land here and find a cosy corner for a nice chat.

We went there for a girlie lunch today as it's near our workplace and have always wanted to go. They have quite a few food specials going on (pizza and burgers 2for1). The burgers (especially the chips) was really good and the portions big. Our waiter was very rushed and cleared our table while one girl was still eating. We all found him very rude with no "table-side" manners. Although he was the only waiter I could see, it wasn't busy at all (maybe 4 other tables, and by the time we were done it was empty again) so I don't understand what the rush was about. Friendly boozer with limited but good real ale on tap (Bombardier and Black Sheep), and solid inexpensive Thai Food. The spicy beef salad is especially good. AVOID-
we went last night friday, tried 3 beers all were flat, vinegar, very badly kept, the 'landlord' -( use the term loosely!) said nothing, we had a Youngs which was very average.

Then a fight nearly broke out, everyone was visibly upset, the 'landlord' just put the offenders at different ends of the pub!

A couple complained about the wine, eventually got a refund and left. The barstaff and 'landlord' just laughed about it, probably thinking you dare to come in here expecting good service, beer and wine and then complain-HA

The toilets were disgusting, dirty, smelly, graffitti, damp walls, need of a good o lick of paint.

7 Americans came in for dinner, the landlord' told them to get their own menus, they made their choice, went to the bar to order, the'landlord' said, "No snack food only"! and this was 8.15 at night, welcome to London
