It is a typical stadium....

With a stadium tour you get an insight on the stadium and the criket history. The entire/behind the scenes of the stadium. A visit to the museum is also included. You easily spend 2 to 3 hours at the Lord's.

The downfall is that you have to go specifically there since there are no other attractions in the near-by . Apart, the nearest underground is quite off centre at St.John Wood Tube station, and the stadium is a good 3/4 hour distant from the underground.

So, if you're not really interest in cricket and/or stadia, there is surely better ways to spend half a day in LondonIt is a typical stadium....

Rating: 5.00This place is for those Hindu believers who believe in the Lord Swaminarayan. It is the biggest Hindu temple outside India. Very beautiful with great scenery. It has a lot of history to it too. The people there are more than willing to explain to tourists the story behind it all. I was there on friday on a corporate event.

Seems like a fun idea but honestly, think twice.

The bar was half empty, a lack of athmosphere and the staff are rude, in particulary on of the customer assitants called Peter.

This was just the best choice for a Sunday afternoon. I was really excited from the moment I booked this boat trip with the fastest boats in Thames River. It was a very sunny day so that made the experience even better. My friend and I went to the Embankment pier where the trip starts, and were very welcomed by the friendly staff of Thames RIB Experience. We were given jackets and life jackets to put on and we got on the boat without having yet a clear idea of what was going to follow.
The trip started with sightseeing and information about the history of London. It was a very special way to see and learn about London with the anticipation of the speeding that would follow. Thanks to a James Bond movie that was filmed in one of the buildings by the river, the whole experience was focused on this fact. With the music of James bond playing in the background and the boat starting to speed up it made us all feel like we are playing in a James Bond film (Yes I had my black sun glasses on and the Bond girl image). We got to Canary Wharf and then the boat started speeding to the max making sharp turns that brought our faces literally centimetres away from the water. The whole trip lasted for about an hour and had nothing to do with anything I had done before.
On the boat we had people of all ages, from little kids to older people that all seemed to enjoy it to the max, with none of us feeling uncomfortable at any time. When we got back we had the chance to see pictures of our funny faces whist the speeding was taking place.
I recommend this boat trip for two main reasons: An innovative way to learn important things about London and an adventurous way to play with the water and speed. (And an idea of how it feels like to be in a James Bond movie:) ). I am definitely re-visiting soon.

Why I didn't just ask someone about this place, or oh, I don't know, consult one of the reviews below before bounding up the steps to Vinopolis World of Wine, I will never know. The 'great for hen parties' promo on their website should've been a dead giveaway, but for some reason I was dying to hand over Â£22 and 3 hours of my time to these people.

Well, I was duly punished anyway. Vinopolis is just as the other reviewers described it - slick, corporate and bland.

The self-guided tour began with a 15-min queue followed by a 5-min run down on how to swirl, sniff and slurp wine. (White wine, that is. If you were curious about the properties and characteristics of red wine too, then you'd be out of luck.) The tutorial was brief and, unless you were a complete beginner (at whom the course was not aimed), largely uninformative. Is it really true that the number of seconds a wine's aftertaste remains in your mouth is equivalent to the number of pounds sterling you should pay for the bottle? Wow. Buying wine will be so much easier now!

We were then set loose, armed with our new-found knowledge, to seek out and taste 8 wines of our choosing. The wine attendants looked like they wanted to be anywhere else in the world and weren't very helpful at answering questions that weren't covered in their training manuals.

The only interesting aspect of the "Enthusiast's wine tour" was the building itself - artfully constructed under the arches an old Victorian viaduct, it's a beautiful space to take in. But that is where the enjoyment ended for me.

It annoys me when fat-cat establishments like this one can't use some of their fortune to provide a really useful service.

In my opinion, if you really want to learn about wine, or just about how to enjoy it, you're better off checking out one of the many tours and tastings listed in London each week. Hyde Park is one of those places that is such a part of London that local or visitor you really should go there. It's great for picnics, boating on the Serpentine, a pleasant stroll or even listening to a whole range of views at Speakers Corner.

It is a huge park and whilst it does get very busy on sunny days, there are far quieter spots if you want a bit more peace and quiet. It also has cafes and toilets and is easily accessible by public transport - Hyde Park Corner and Lancaster Gate being two of the easiest stations to get there from.

Right in the heart of London, it's a real must for anyone.Hyde Park is one of those places that is such a part of London that local or visitor you really should go there. The usual celebs and kings and queens of past and present are all on show at madame tussauds for all to see. If you want to see how tall Tony Blair really is or come face to face with the pope, then it is a must see.
It is only a short walk from the baker street tube station and buses do stop near by.
You can take a mini black cab ride through london, passing through various events starting with the tudor period on the way. Do not forget the chamber of horrors, always a crowd pleaser.
It is open from 9am till 6pm most days so that gives you more than enough time to see it all. On the rides children must have an adult with them if they are under the age of 16. The London Duck Tours company is such a good idea to go out and see parts of london in a new and fun way. It is a real winner.
The family ticket is Â£57 and is for 2 adults and 2 children, which is not too bad.
Your tickets are for a one hour and fifteen minute tour, which leaves from an area just behind the London Eye. The big yellow amphibious vehicles take you on a fun route passing famous london landmarks like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament , Trafalgar Square etc. You see such a lot.You get told interesting facts along the way too.
Then the duck takes you on and launches into the River Thames from a slipway at Vauxhall for the part of the tour that is in the water. Such great fun it is. A bizarre but wonderful way to see the sights, thats for sure.

The famous tower of london is a magnet for every tourist who visits london and you can see why. It is great, full of lots of things to see and enjoy, the beautiful collection of crowns and jewels is well worth looking at.
The white tower is good, but part of the outside is being renovated so it is slightly hidden from view.
The beefeaters are great. You can tag along on one of the regular tours that they do and they tell you all those little things you would not have learned otherwise. They are fun to listen to and it all adds up to a better experiences you have a few facts to remember.
You can buy a ticket that allows you to go again and this is a good idea as you really need more than one day to see it all. The palace is such a hugh and imposing building, so much part of englands history and a centre for all things at times of celebration in the uk. The palace is always surrounded by huge crowds of people, exactly who they think they may catch a glimpse of, I can never guess. But I too have stood in awe and hoped to see some thing in fact anything f interest.
Sadly I have not seen much apart form the odd smartly dressed soldier stood in splendid red, bearskin held high, whilst people call out for him to smile for a photo. The water fountain in front of the palace is lovely also and there is the park right next to it all.

Our recent visit to the london aquarium was quite good. It has around 400 species in over 50 displays , the best of which was the big shark tank, which we stood and gazed a for ages. It is right next to the london eye and westminster bridge, so nice and easy to find. The family ticket is around Â£45 which does seem quite a lot of money and this place is not really an all day activity, but we did enjoy it and later found out we could have saved more money if we had got some discount vouchers. Never mind we will be more aware next time we visit. Trouble is the kids want to adopt a cute little shark next time, who are they kidding.Our recent visit to the london aquarium was quite good. Tower Bridge was completed in 1894, after eight years of construction and is the most amazing bridge even now. It looks fantastic at night and it was really good to see and learn more about it. The views from the top are incredible. The kids really enjoyed the machinery and hands on displays in the engine rooms. The interactive units that are on the walkways were very good too. The bridge is lifted around 1000 times a year to allow ships and other large craft to pass through, it did so once whilst we were in our car and it was so cool. Walk across the millenium bridge from the tate modern side and the main thing you see is st pauls cathedral, it knocks your socks off. Better still do this at night or dusk when the building is full of spot lights and its even more of a sight for your eyes. You do have to pay to get in, but it is wonderful on the inside. We climbed the massive amount of steps and managed to get first to the gallery and then still higher where you can look down and see the floor and layout in all its splendor. There is also a gift shop selling the usual tourist stuff. Rating: 5.00Big ben is such a wonderful place to see, you need to park the car and get out to go see it in its full glory, or better still take the bus and drive past to take in its breath taking beauty. The clock tower is huge in real life and it is the clock bell that carries the name not the building. every thing is right here, the houses of parliament, the london eyer, west minster bridge, need I say more. This place is situated right in the heart of westminster and is truly a wonderful sight to see. The building is so beautiful and very interesting from both inside and out side. The mosaics which are inside the building are very beautiful and well worth seeing. The fact that so many important events have been held here only adds to the attraction of visiting the cathedral. We looked around for ages and would certainly go and see it again some time. It is very easy to get to, london transport will help you out there. You should go and visit this unique part of englands heritage. As a local park this has it all. Firstly, it is placed near the villagy part of Hanwell. If your image of Hanwell is the Uxbridge Road, try this amazing little corner by St, Mary's Church: you'll be amazed you are in London.

Next there is the park itself. I am amazed that a small zoo is not recieving greater publicity. This place has monkeys, Maras (Google them - they are splendid!), peacocks and small household pets. Small children will be enchanted. There is the golf park earby and some lovely walks. Something for all the family in a lovely setting.As a local park this has it all. I wouldn't really call this a sightseeing attraction since you aren't even allowed to see it! Number one, its pretty hard to find, and even if you do manage to find it it's not really worth the trip. The street is blocked off by security which is really the only thing that gives it away that you have found the right street. You can't see the famous black front door that you see on TV; all you can see are blockades and security guards. You are also very very unlikely to see the prime minister!
