The White Hart is one of the oldest licensed pub in London, and its a pretty lively pub with plenty of space for all. The range of drinks is excellent with the bar staff to match. The friendly yet lively atmosphere provides an excellent place to drink in late afternoons through to close. Food is available and is well worth a look at. It's a small but adequate menu and it is very tasty.

The White hart is quite a threatre pub, and late in the evenings it can get busy but this certainly adds to the atmosphere. There are larger tables and a large back area so you can easily book these for party and private functions. the lyceum pub is a strange creature: involving a weird mix of theatre fiends, local drunkards and students from Kings College near-by. It remains a fairly large pub (two floors) that is bound to provide you with a cheap and tasty ale at a price that will put a smile on your face. Food was nice, though burger came with only around 5 chips. A bit mean for Â£10, no? Service at the bar was incredibly slow - bar staff weren't really clued into checking whose turn it was to serve etc. - waited around 10 minutes to get first drink, which wasn't that great for a tuesday night.Food was nice, though burger came with only around 5 chips. This very grand, airy and elegant hotel lobby-bar has got dimensions of monumental proportions, more akin to a museum than a bar. Being there, sitting in one of the comfortable chairs or sofas, and looking around is a pure visual joy. Aside from the very high ceiling and giant glass windows, it is decorated with a lot of taste and elegance. A giant bronze statue of a rower & towering and an imposing flower arrangement take centre-stage. The floor is made of marble -but I would not recommend you attempt a Michael Jackson Moon Walker impersonation for fun as, in such surroundings, it would be a real faux pas, literally.

Drinks and snacks are "upmarket", including the price: cocktails there are around £10 each. Staff are very well-dressed, efficient and friendly.

On hot days, this lobby-bar is a heavenly refuge compared to the rest of the bars in the area, as air-conditioning here is perfect. The place is a very civilised, swanky, albeit pricey pre-theatre indulgence. I would have given it the 5-star treatment, if it wasn't for the price.
