As you would expect from Wetherspoon this pub is cheap and cheerful. It has a comfortable, large interior with an out door seating area equipped with nice over head heaters and attractive plants too. The central bar has a wealth of drinks and the I can recommend the pitchers of various cocktails which are good value for money and taste good too. This pub is particularly suite to going out in a big group as it has large long tables, corner booths and sofa/ armchair areas which provide apple seating for 6+ people. The only drawback is that the pub is often very full and so you have to wait a while for drinks and sometimes seats. As you would expect from Wetherspoon this pub is cheap and cheerful. Most buffets are fairly soulless, not this one. Small and cosy a real effort has been made to make the place nice and there is a really sweet little garden out the back. The drinks are not expensive as they can be at buffets. The staff are friendly and the food is constantly refreshed even when it is quiet. For somewhere so small they have a good range of options, maybe about 8 meat dishes and 10 dishes using meat substitutes, as well as veg options and salads. Passers by might be forgiven for not looking twice at this inauspicious looking cafe, but believe me, this is a hidden gem that all the locals know about (the back room is always packed!). I eat a lot of indian food, I cook it, my local take away appears on my BT friends and family list(!), so I can really vouch for the fact that the food they serve here really is top notch. The place itself has a definate cafe feel rather than a restaurant, is very basic, and won't win any awards for decor or comfort, but if you can get past this, and want some authentic, damn good indian, clean and crisp tasting food, (that unlike most indian takeaways isn't overdone with garlic and fat), then do give this place a try. Nice little place to hang out and was recently recommended in the Times as one of the better gastro pubs in london. The location means its in the quiet backstreets and you can just chill and watch the world go by. The food is also pretty good.
