Wow this place was fantastic, can't believe it still existed. It has paintings actually done by John, George and Paul which you can go right up to, the place is full of 60's history and every beatles fan should go.
This place is magic, you have to see it to believe it. As well as the Beatles buzz you get a real nice tour from a member of the lovely best family. This is not to be missed, Best tourist attraction in liverpool. You hear an amazing story of such an amazing place, it is so unbelievably amazing that you will never be amazed at anything else again. It is definitley worth finding - look it up, they have a website.

Having seen recently the exhibition of the scale model of Frederick Lutyens' original design for this cathedral (he designed the crypt as it stands, but the design for the rest of the building was deemed too expensive, and scrapped), I find myself (or rather my eyes) even more offended by this architectural monstrosity. Liverpool may have two cathedrals on one street, but that's one too many.
"Paddy's Wigwam" as it is 'affectionately' known, is often featured in SOngs of Praise, because the round centre nave-like area means the acoustics are very good. Nothing else recommends this cathedral - it feels like a huge, round, village hall, with little of the awe and reverence a cathedral should inspire, and instead fills you with fascinated horror at the appalling taste in which it was executed.

This is a great fun way to see the city - whether you've lived here a minute or a lifetime, I guarantee the commentator will tell you something you didn't know, or make you look at something in a different light.
The commentary is hilarious, and involving, and educational, all at the same time. The water-based part of the tour means you get to see the docks as they are meant to be seen - from the business end, and the land-based parts eschews the traditional "box-ticking" of things like the Sightseeing buses, and takes you to some truly interesting corners of Liverpool.
If you are ever stuck with what to do with visiting guests, this is perfect - the only downside is the price.This is a great fun way to see the city - whether you've lived here a minute or a lifetime, I guarantee the commentator will tell you something you didn't know, or make you look at something in a different light.

This converted warehouse houses luxurious apartments now, so differently to the Albert Dock there is nothing here for tourists to see or visit really.
However, as an example of a successful restoration of a disused maritime building this is of architectural interest, and worthwhile the detour if you are going to see the Albert Dock anyway. It is slightly less impressive now though that the river view is gone and a huge multi-storey car park and a busy dual carriageway are the only views you get from hereâ¬¦
However there is nowhere to eat here or have a coffee, so had back to the Albert Dock for refreshments (recommended: Pizza Express, Gusto, but avoid Ha! Ha! Acorn Farm was created in 1985 on only 4 hectares of derelict land, which had once been a tip for builderâ¬"s rubble, it is now an award winning visitor attraction which is home to a wide range of farm animals and employs 20 full and part time staff.
I have just spent a lovely day at acorn farm celebrating my daughters 2nd birthday. Acorn Farm is delightful and I have to say very reasonable in price compared to other similar places (Â£2 admission for adults and Â£1 admission for children). There is plenty to do and lots of animals. The shop and cafÃ© are very reasonably priced all you need is good weather!!!
