Order took way over an hour and a half to be delivered, we made 2 phone calls. After 45 mins we were told the delivery was on its way, we then waited and nothing appeared. After 1hr 15mins we phoned again and were told it was still on its way. We asked if the 1 pound delivery fee could be taken off as we'd waited so long and the response from the take away was "it normally takes over an hour for delivery's to be sent and no the Â£1 delivery fee will not be deducted". This is my favourite Indian takeaway ever, excellent food, friendly service and reasonable prices. I got a take away menu through the door a few months ago from an Indian restaurant/take away claiming to have "the best pizza's in town".

The thing was, it was the only take away in Birkenshaw. Just a few weeks later, Mama's Kitchen opened and it blows them out of the water completely.

Mama's Kitchen is run by Adam Mileusnic and Xavier Espinosa, from private premesis in Birkenshaw. Chef Xavier who has worked in Spain, Australia, South America and Italy, offers a range of pizzas with a range of specials from time to time. Adam runs the phone and delivery service.

Together, they offer a food and service that is unparalleled.

As they only offer a delivery service, orders are placed by phone, the friendly voice at the other end always has a smile attached.

The delivery is fast and friendly, and the service is very personalised - as in Adam not just remembers my address but also my name when ordering.

If the service is 5-star rated then there needs to be a sixth star for food. The freshly baked pizza's really are just that. The dough is rolled to order. Not in a pre-made dish, but the ray a roller would. They're rectangular-ish in shape, as in really hand made.

The fresh ingredients include tomato's rather than puree and just the right amount of cheese and oregano. The same goes for any other ingredients you choose.

For the brave, they also offer desert pizza's. Pizza baked with chocolate instead of tomato and cheese, with strawberry's or pears on top, and nuts if you like. They sound scary, but are delicious. Went down a storm at a recent party.

So, really friendly and helpful with great tasting food. After first eating here 4 years ago, I am now a regular customer. The fish is succulent and tastes top quality. The chips are the best ever. Would highly recommend this takeaway to everyone! I've been getting fish and chips from Drakes since I was a kid and they've always been good.

The fish is always nice and white and the batter is great.

At last a Family run food outlet where everyone there is concerned about the quality and cleanliness.Meal deals are superb value and a great choice of homemade asian dishes. Hi its Erik from hungryhouse.co.uk, just popping my head in to ask for some thoughts on Luckyâ¬"s. I keep finding references to them winning a award for best pizza. Anyone have a idea who the award is from?
Its obvious to me that they are one of the best spots around the university, most of our customers have rated them 4.5 stars on our site. So let me ask, What is it about Luckyâ¬"s that rocks the Uni crowd so hard? Is it how the delivery guy remembers that you paid online for you when your drunk and try to pay cash?
I would have to agree the 18â¬ pizza is a rad deal (yes I said rad, I loved that word in the 80â¬"s and still use it), but what else makes them popular?
Anything you think they could do better, or is there a takeaway that serves the University area that offers something different?

We used to use Sullys 3 to 4 times a month for pizzas, kebab meat and scampi and occasionally had the odd bad meal but recently every time it has been almost inedible. The pizzas have either been well undercooked with the dough in the middle still raw, or they are cremated, the kebab meat have been way too greasy, chips have been undercooked or reheats depending on when you order and the scampi have been so hard you could not eat it.

Rating: 5.00This Kfc is great! There is always lots of parking and they have a drive through. All of there staff are very nice and friendly. I think this kfc is kept very clean and the service is quite quick unlike some others i have been too. Sometimes it gets quite busy specially round lunch time. I don't think that any body does chicken as well as this place! There is always new variety being added to the menu and the kids choice is always fantastic. My favourite on the menu has to be the boneless box and the bargain bucket!! This has got to be the best fast food resturant.This Kfc is great! Rating: 5.00Domina's Pizza do the best pizza not just in leeds but the whole of britain! No one can beat them for the delicousness and thier menu's! They do such a fantastic variety of diffent toppings and they taste fantatic. They also do the best garlic bread ever as well! Sometimes dominos do offers on there food like sometimes you get vouchers in the post to get so much off your next order. I do think that they are a bit expensive but if you look out for vouchers it's not too bad. Also if you are buying a lot in one order sometimes they knock a bit off (but maybe thats because i know someone who works there! :D)

When it gets busy (which is like all the time!) they sometimes have everyone giggleing! sometimes they put out free garlic bread for the customers to niblble on whilst they are waiting for there orders. I think the pizza's are absolutly delicious from here and the service is quite quick. I also think the prices are quite reasonable to say the the portions are very big. The menu is full of alsorts of tantilizing italian food! But i must admit i am partial to their scrumptious spaghetti bolognese! Rating: 5.00Thai cottage does the best food in Leeds in my opinion! i couldn't possibly pick a favourite off their menu if i tried because all of their food is just mouth watering goodness!! I don't think that they are that expensive because the quality of the food is fantastic! They are quite quick making your order as i have never had to wait longer than 10 minutes and that is when it has been busy. They also do a great vegetarian selection of food which my wife loves! You can either eat in or out. I come with my boyfriend here,we both wanted a big curry from here.We had to wait a while before somebody took our order from here.

The food was made quite well here though,i liked the taste of the food a lot here.We got a chicken curry and some nans as well,the food tasted really nice here.

I come here with my boyfriend,we both ordered some kebab rolls from here.The food was made really quick which suprised us a bit,the food was made nice and smelt lovely!

I usually come here to eat a lot,they make some excellent pizzas here.Their pizzas are made fresh and taste yummy.

Each time i come here it always does be busy,which is no problem i usually order and come back after 15 minutes.The food always does be ready by then,their prices are quite cheap here compared to other local takeaways for pizzas.
