The Clock Hotel - TERRIBLE by fluid09

This hotel has to be by far the worst hotel i have ever come across, i have taken a couple of photos but not many, i should have taken more.

Limescale allover the bathroom, rotting units and cracks up walls, a black shower head which was obviously meant to be white, a window that was broken and didnt close, a kettle with limescale and some kind of black mould shaped residue inside.
noise from the other residents was of a very high nature.
drunk residents were alowed to make high levels of noise from 2 to 6 in the morning.
staff that smoked at the bottom of the stairs (and it is illegal to smoke in a public place)
they broke the law and i had to breathe that in :(

I highly reccomend you DO NOT use this establishment.

I complained and have been dealt with very unproffessionally.

Ash Mount Hotel is a good place to stay at,I stayed over here once as well.Its located in a really nice place,I had a lot of bags when i came here and the gentlemen on the door helped me with my bags which i though was nice of him and shows a positive sign for the hotel.

Park Plaza Leeds is another nice hotel to consider staying in here at Leeds.They offer quite cheap prices here and are very good with their customer service as well here.I used to come here a lot before because of their cheap prices for staying over,they have increased their prices though just recently!

I find their hotel rooms here to be really neat and tidy!I managed to get some excellent breakfast from here as well,unlike other hotels you get unlimited drinks from here in the morning as much as you want!Park Plaza Leeds is another nice hotel to consider staying in here at Leeds.They offer quite cheap prices here and are very good with their customer service as well here.I used to come here a lot before because of their cheap prices for staying over,they have increased their prices though just recently!

Many people judge this place from the outside as it does not look so posh,i have stayed at a lot of hotels in the past here in Leeds.I stayed at this one i think at my first year in Uni.

It was really posh inside,they gave me a room as soon as i came in here.The staff were really polite,most of the staff here seem like students them selves as well,all with good attidues though here.

Hotels in Leeds have been my place to stay at for ages now,staying here as a student has been quite hard.I found this place on my first week here,the prices here are really expensive as well.They offer breakfast,dinner and tea though with their packages here.

I stayed over here when i was at Uni,I had problems with accomdation a lot so i had no choice but to come here.When i came in i was really greeted well by the customer reception team,I was given a room straight away as well.

The Hilton in Leeds is possibly not as polished as it's counterparts in other cities however the rooms themselves and the service are second to non as you'd expect from this brand. I had a slight problem (I booked a double room and they gave me two single beds) however this was speedily rectified. My room came with 2 large bottles of water - one still and one sparkling. The Crowne Plaza Hotel, situated on Wellington Street in the centre of Leeds is the perfect comutable distance from the station, bus station and motorway. It is situated near to all local attractions and destinations, but far enough away to ensure a peaceful and relaxing stay.

My most recent experience of The Crowne Plaza was the South African International cricket teams staying on mass. Despite the sportsmen and their respective entourage all other guests were treated to the highest of standards. Despite the hotel being booked to capacity and beyond, this made no impact upon the professionalism of the hotel and its staff. At no point did it feel overcrowded and I was able to make the most of my stay.

On a previous occasion when an unfortunate error occured meaning that my room along with a potential bride to be was not situated near the rest of the wedding party, the hotel manager provided the use of the honeymoon suite together with use of the jacuzzi and all other facilities at no extra cost.

In order to ensure that there was enough space for the wedding party on the morning of the wedding we were provided with the use of execuitive suite again at no extra charge. The manager and all staff ensured that our needs were met and well beyond our expectations.

The hotel is of the finest standard both in terms of service and cleanliness, the restaurant and bar are of a similar high standard. The price is well worth it for the five star hotel experience.

You arrive to find helpful, friendly staff at the reception who make you feel most welcome. After a quick, hassle free check in, you are directed to your room.
A big queensize bed, looks so inviting and comfortable. The rooms are well furnished, spotlessly clean and tidy.
Back downstairs, the bar is very relaxed, the lighting dimmed to make it even more laid back. Staff are all on the ball, nothing is too much effort, nothing seems rushed. The hustle and bustle vanishes and you really are able to unwind.
The restaurant is of the highest quality. Great food, well prepared and served once again by staff with an eye to detail. The sommelier offers good advice, on an extensive wine list.
Breakfast is either a cooked choice or a healthy selection to choose from. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon are an ideal way to start the day, before an effortless check out.
The only drawback with this hotel, is there is no onsite parking, however there is a secure multi-storey, just across the street.
Don't let the relaxed, informal impression be mistaken for lax staff, far from it. This is a great hotel to stay at. Ibis Leeds is well situated for road users on the edge of the City, and about a 15 minute walk from both the centre of Leeds and train station.

I found the staff helpful, reception area clean and well appointed. Room was average size with simple furnishings, TV, tea&coffee, en-suite bathroom with shower, small writing desk and aircon.

The aircon however was switched off, and as others have mentioned this can make the room stuffy. The window opens slightly allowing some air in, but this does come with traffic noise too. Hopefully Ibis read this website and listen to the reviewers gripes and switch the system on!!
