I have been to west park cafe often in the day time to meet friends for coffee and lunch but never in the evening until recently. Rating: 1.00My partner and I thought we would give this place a try as it looked inviting from the outside.

Once inside it looked pleasant enough, one part of it is charming with lots of old books on book shelves, quite classy in fact.

I soon knew though the menu may be a bit less classy though as I saw egg and chips and welsh rarebit listed on the wall.

We decided to look at a 'proper' menu.

I ordered a steak sandwich which sounded amazing but when it turned up it was like old rubber horrid, the coleslaw was bland and tasteless so I had to leave it and the only thing on my plate that was ok were the oven chips!All served up with a cheap plastic bottle of tomato sauce, such class haha!

On a good point the waitresses seemed nice and polite, smartly dressed. The two guys that were also serving one looked smart the other looked like a scruff.

The toilets were awful, no usable locks on ANY of them and a bin liner was being used as a bin in there with blue dirty paper towels all over near the sinks and floor, horrid again!

Its such a shame as the venue its self is rather nice and it should serve delicious well cooked food but alas it is no more than a cheap cafe but without the cheap and cheerful prices. Cafe looks pretty, well decorated to cater for the student population.

If you just want to look good in a cool location then this place is fine but if you want to eat....

£3.75 for a sausage and egg sandwich which had only a single sausage! When I complained the hapless waitress laughed in my face and said "talk to my manager".
When I asked to talk to the boss she said that "he isn't here".

Absolute crap. Avoid this place.Cafe looks pretty, well decorated to cater for the student population.

I love starbucks. I know it is quite expensive but well worth every penny for the luxurious experience and serviceyou get every time you go in. The latte's are to die for and don't even get me started on the fantastic cake selecition. It is always very clean in here and the staff are very polite. It does get very busy in here but it dosen't stop me from going in. You can either eat and drink inside or take out so it is very convenient. The toilets are always kept clean which is always a good thing. They also have high chairs in here for the little ones which is great for mothers with children.I love starbucks. My wife always takes me in here after she has finished shopping and i am carrying all her bags! :( It is a lovely place to go and treat yourself to a cappucino and a slice of carrot cake. They have very comy chairs in here you don't want to get up when it's time to go! :) I think it is quite expensive in here but the wife loves it so that gives me a quiet life! It looks very posh inside so i think although it is expensive it is very luxury. Slick shiny dÃ©cor, really stylishly turned out Cucina is also an Italian restaurant which I am yet to sample but which always looks packed on a weekend. The bar area spills outside with a heated patio area with tables and chairs and big black umbrellas. They sell Peroni, and are surely the only place in Morley that does! Great for a quiet(ish) night if you donâ¬"t want to trek into Leeds, give it a try!

I love this place. It's a visually amazing Moroccan cafe with a very relxed and cosy atmosphere. The staff are really good, the guy who runs it is kind and sweet and they will make stuff to your requirements if you are at all fussy. Usually I got there for the unique green tea chai. You can have it either with steamed milk or water, and it's sweet and spicy and unlike other chai. They do great ice cream too. The warm atmosphere extends to an upstairs room which is a total chill out zone, you can hire it for parties for free I think. Starbucks is fantastic for unwinding after a long day of shopping, or nipping in in your lunch hour to grab a coffee and a bite to eat.

However, I believe this Starbucks to be the worst of the bunch in Leeds because it just seem grimy. The one on Briggate in comparison is lovely and homely. But this one seems a bit scruffy. Ultimately you do receive the delicious Starbucks products you ordered but I'm a bit unsure of the location.

Indie Joze is another of Leeds' well kept secrets, whether you want a sandwich and a coffe at lunchtime or a post work beer in a laid back relaxed, comfortable atmosphere,
Indie's is ideal and the prices are reasonable, the staff friendly and approachable and the music is entirely suitable, lively without being overpowering and adds to the atmosphere rather than smothering it.
All in all a good place to cool your heels after shopping, stress about work on your lunch break or drink away your cares after a long day!

Dare is one of those narrow shop fronts across from subway, and from the outside it looks like a nice place to have food, but maybe a bit pricy.

Luckily it is a great place for food and the prices are really good. Especially if you get there during the week for the early bird menu, where they do a buy one get one free on all main meals - so 2 can eat for under Â£15 including drinks! I like to stick with the pizzas, although there's a decent choice of pasta or mexican dishes.

The staff are very friendly and whenever there's been a problem they've been quick and efficient at sorting it out.

If there's a downside it's that it's situated in Headingley, so your table may be next to some braying students who can't stop going on about a) how hung-over they are or b) how they hate it when people say they don't know how the real world works. A nice, clean, run of the mill sarnie shop that does sandwiches, toasties, baked potatoes, chips, breakfasts and salads, all to take out. The shop is pretty small, and there are usually two or three staff serving who are quite pleasant.

Prices are OK for city centre and the food is all freshly made so it is worth it. The drinks are the usual canned fayre with hot chocolate, coffee and tea. You can't really complain if all you are looking for is a quick bite to eat on your lunch hour - it is ideal.

They have an amazing selection of bagels including chocolate chip, poppyseed and sundried tomato and have a wide variety of different fillings. They also offer a good selection of smoothies and cakes and things like porridge in the AM.

However ome of the fillings aren't of the best quality, the cheaper one's tend to be better. Ham and cheese tastes much better than smoked salmon for example. Despite this many of the bagels are delicious and specialities such as the pizza bagel are definitely worth a try.

This cafe Nero is located in the heart of Leeds and is simple perfect for people watching. Its popular and is often busy so you need to be prepared to que as well a fight for a table on a fine day it is usually full outside and you might need to lurk until someone leaves. Good selection of coffees but you'll be paying top prices like you would expect with these kind of coffee shop chains. They also do a selection of yummy cakes and sandwiches which I also feel are over priced but nice for a treat now and again. Inside is also huge with 3 floors you'll be able to grab a seat. They also do takeaway if you need to rush back to the office or something.
