Brilliant for students...but in that comes The Mill's flaw- it can get far too busy. On several occasions (Especially on Monday and Wednesday nights) I have waited at least half an hour at the bar. Cheaper than cheap drinks and a very studenty decor but it seems that the Mill is just too popular for an enjoyable night out. My tip- get there early on a promotional night. 2nd Tip, if you're a student, buy a "Yellow Card" from the bar. They're only Â£1 and offer some great drinks discounts.Brilliant for students...but in that comes The Mill's flaw- it can get far too busy. Top quality pub. Great jukebox, brilliant band and comedy nights and friendly staff. The beer is a bit on the expensive side considering it's in a student town but other than that, a fantastic pub. Keep an eye out for the Outside the Box comedy nights, lots of well-known comedians play "secret" gigs there...Bill Bailey did one a couple of months ago.Top quality pub. This is quite a nice quiet pub, with a mix of locals and students around. But the real draw is Kai's Thai food, served on the premises. The food is excellent and great value and despite regularly trying out posher haunts in more plush surroundings, we have yet to find a better Thai in London. The lunchtime deal is great value for money at around Â£6 per meal, and the service always comes with a smile. Yum!This is quite a nice quiet pub, with a mix of locals and students around. This Slug and Lettuce isn't the best of the chain I've been into. It's fine for a Sunday afternoon beer, but that's probably the only time I'd visit.

The location is good - just off from the busy shops of Kingston and right by the river.

The service is ok - it seems a bit confused between not allowing food to be ordered at the bar, but not having alert bar staff who wait the tables.

The prices are average.

I ordered a tomato soup here once - taste was ok but not great and the bread was a bit tough!

Atmosphere is a bit lacking. It's quite family oriented (during the day at the weekends), so isn't adult or relaxed enough (because of the kids around) for a good place to kick back and relax with a beer and a paper.This Slug and Lettuce isn't the best of the chain I've been into. What can i say about this place. It is a pub and just like all pubs it is great for drinking in. It is a big place and when it is empty it seems so dull yet when it is busy there is a nice ambience and atmosphere. I used to go to this place from when i was under age, shhhhh, until i was at the height of my clubbing experience. It does pull in a different crowd on different days, students when the club nights are on, locals during the day and quieter times and all types of party goers over the weekend. The food is actually decent and the prices are fair. They also do two for one meal deals and curry clubs and a burger and pint on different days. The prices of drinks are probably the best around being a weatherspoons pub. They have also introduced music which is much better than the times of the no music policy, with tv screens too it is spending a bit more money on keeping in with the times. There is an area to shake your a**e and do your thang when the DJ resides and there are many fruit machines to keep you entertained if having a pint on your own. There are nice sofas, booth type seats and comfy chairs as well as a dining area. There are two floors so they can get loads of people in and two bars so service, although not the quickiest, is reasonable and the staff are nice. The bouncers are also pretty decent, some are firendly others quiet but they rarely give you grief or try to act like they are better than you. A great place to start the evening off and get a few down you so that when you look at your credit card receipts the next day the shock on your face wont be as gobsmacking as it could have been. Like most pubs, the emphasis is on selling drinks so the place is the cleanest. Sticky floors from last nights madness or corners that smell of last weeks sick isn't nice but have a few drinks and who cares.What can i say about this place. Mcclusky's is fun and cheesy - that's all you need to know really!

I have been going to the club for about 10 years and despite name changes it remains the same inside - I main bar with a large dance floor and seating areas around the side. They serve food during the day, though I've never been at this time!

Music is usually 70-90's with a bit of dance thrown in. the DJ's always like to mention and embarrass birthday people so if it's your mates get it known.

Drinks range from cheap copycat versions to the usual spirits and beers.

The Bishop has been around for ages and the good is always good. I get very confused as often it seems to either change hands or get renovated and I've been going out in Kingston for about 12 years.

Food is good during the day with a wide selection, always hot and service good.

Drinks are served well, including when we asked for more challenging cocktails!

In the evening this place gets busy so don't go here if thirsty cos you'll be queuing a while!

This pub is great! It's right on the river and it plays jazz on Sundays, right up my street! Well, a half hour train ride from Waterloo actually, but well worth the trip.

I saw a couple arrive, and each of them was carrying a wooden oar which must have belonged to a rowing boat. I found that this was true, because towards the end of the evening, I wandered out onto the balcony and spotted them climbing carefully into their little boat and rowing away into the darkness. A bit dangerous, as they only had a front light!

There's a really nice view from the balcony - you can see house boats and lots of trees and greenery and people whizzing or walking past on the footpath.

It's quite a laid back pub, not overly fussy. The crowd on Sunday night would have suited my Dad's age group and I might take him there one day. There were younger people there too though especially earlier on. Apparently the food is good, but beware, they stop serving at 6pm.

This is an upmarket and contemporary restaurant, that serves great food!

We have come here twice, and usually go to the Wimbledon Village branch, as we live closer to that one.

Service is excellent, low lighting and ambiance is enjoyable and relaxing.

They have a special menu called the Party Menu, where they need a minimum of 8 people to order from it. It works out well price-wise then!

In the menu you get:
A starter (platters with assorted goodies to nibble on).
A main (choice of about 7 main courses - ranging from spare ribs to fish to steak)
A dessert (choice of 5 - ranging from ice cream to cheesecake to chocolate cake)

YUM!

The quirky thing about this restaurant is the toilets!

The boys and girls have separate doors, but when you venture inside, both bathrooms are a mirror image of eachother, and there is NO wall between the girls and boys at the basins!

So you come out of the loo cubicle, and go to wash your hands... and a bloke could join you at the other side of your basin!

Some might not like this... I am not sure I would to be honest were there a slimey bloke on the other side... but the idea is cool and funky and fun.
