The restaurant has an extensive menu including a FULL separate menu for gluten free diets. The food was some of the best we have tasted (second visit for two of our group). We all ate from the gluten free menu and found it almost impossible to decide (the pan fried chicken was heaven). Service was just right you where left to enjoy your meal without the feeling of abandoned once the order was placed. The atmosphere was welcoming and surprisingly covers everything from a nice romantic corner to a open lively space for groups with modern but warn decor. The house wine was more than drinkable and the bill very reasonable. Will be visiting this restaurant regularly to work my way through the menu, a MUST try the side dishes; they turn vegetables into an art form!!! The chicken is pretty good, as long as they don't over cook it. The size of the chicken is pot luck. The chips are nice, however the size of the portion depends again. Every time I have been, itâ¬"s been quite empty, then again I have only ever been in the daytime, not in the evening. The service is average at best; you canâ¬"t really expect anything more than that. Basically this place is exactly the same as Nandos. You will not be able to tell the difference, even the menus are nearly the same, and the restaurant is set up in the same way. Brilliant for students...but in that comes The Mill's flaw- it can get far too busy. On several occasions (Especially on Monday and Wednesday nights) I have waited at least half an hour at the bar. Cheaper than cheap drinks and a very studenty decor but it seems that the Mill is just too popular for an enjoyable night out. My tip- get there early on a promotional night. 2nd Tip, if you're a student, buy a "Yellow Card" from the bar. They're only Â£1 and offer some great drinks discounts.Brilliant for students...but in that comes The Mill's flaw- it can get far too busy. Top quality pub. Great jukebox, brilliant band and comedy nights and friendly staff. The beer is a bit on the expensive side considering it's in a student town but other than that, a fantastic pub. Keep an eye out for the Outside the Box comedy nights, lots of well-known comedians play "secret" gigs there...Bill Bailey did one a couple of months ago.Top quality pub. Best cafe in Kingston! The queue for this place goes out the door most lunch times, the sandwiches are delicious, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere, particularly if you get a table upstairs is great.
The menu is on blackboards and covers almost all the wall space downstairs, I think they have listed every possible combination but they are happy to make up anything you ask for. The ingredients are always really fresh and tasty.
They also make fresh juices and smoothies which I can't recommend enough. They are a little pricey, but no more than other nice cafes in the area and this one is worth it.Best cafe in Kingston! This is quite a nice quiet pub, with a mix of locals and students around. But the real draw is Kai's Thai food, served on the premises. The food is excellent and great value and despite regularly trying out posher haunts in more plush surroundings, we have yet to find a better Thai in London. The lunchtime deal is great value for money at around Â£6 per meal, and the service always comes with a smile. Yum!This is quite a nice quiet pub, with a mix of locals and students around. I have been going to fatboys for the three years, i wouldn't go anywhere else, It is run by Eric and Rosa they treat there customers like family, always smiling and happy. This Slug and Lettuce isn't the best of the chain I've been into. It's fine for a Sunday afternoon beer, but that's probably the only time I'd visit.

The location is good - just off from the busy shops of Kingston and right by the river.

The service is ok - it seems a bit confused between not allowing food to be ordered at the bar, but not having alert bar staff who wait the tables.

The prices are average.

I ordered a tomato soup here once - taste was ok but not great and the bread was a bit tough!

Atmosphere is a bit lacking. Bit of a mixed review here - the food was really good, but the atmosphere and service was a bit poor (in my experience).

When we turned up to the restaurant we were left waiting in the entrance for quite a while before anyone bothered to come and seat us. The waitress who finally came over looked puzzled by our request for a table - so this wasn't the most friendly of welcomes to the restaurant.

I found the atmosphere a little empty and pretentious (and the place isn't good enough to merit pretention). The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but it still took 20 mins for an onion soup to arrive!

The food itself (onion soup, another veg dish) was actually very nice.

Maybe we just turned up at a bad time.

The layout of this Wagamamas in Kingston is quite nice - high ceilings and seating is quite well spaced out (as with Wagamams restaurants, everyone gets seated next to everyone else on their long wooden tables).

The service was the best part. I hate being hassled in a restaurant - I just want to get on with my meal in peace, and with my friends. We were left to our own devices and the staff were very friendly when they appropriately came over to check on us. This made for a relaxing, chilled out meal.

The food was also good. They have enough vegetarian options, which were actually really tasty.

Finding ourselves in Kingston one lunchtime, I recalled reading a positive review about Byron and was keen to check it out. I am not a regular burger eater, though do enjoy the occasional one at places like Gourmet Burger Kitchen, and was curious how Byron would compare.

Byron in Kingston is a large restaurant with some outside seating and modern dÃ©cor which reminded me a bit of a Carluccio's, in a good way. There were plenty of smiling staff buzzing around and a smattering of customers.

There is a short burger menu, offering the usual type of burger, along with a "Skinny" (with no bun), a chicken burger, and a veggie one too. We both opted for the "Byron" burger which came with dry cure bacon, mature cheddar and 'byron' sauce.

The meat pattie was juicy and flavoursome. Wasn't so keen on the bun though. And the chips were disappointing - think McDonald's fries. What can i say about this place. It is a pub and just like all pubs it is great for drinking in. It is a big place and when it is empty it seems so dull yet when it is busy there is a nice ambience and atmosphere. I used to go to this place from when i was under age, shhhhh, until i was at the height of my clubbing experience. It does pull in a different crowd on different days, students when the club nights are on, locals during the day and quieter times and all types of party goers over the weekend. The food is actually decent and the prices are fair. They also do two for one meal deals and curry clubs and a burger and pint on different days. The prices of drinks are probably the best around being a weatherspoons pub. They have also introduced music which is much better than the times of the no music policy, with tv screens too it is spending a bit more money on keeping in with the times. There is an area to shake your a**e and do your thang when the DJ resides and there are many fruit machines to keep you entertained if having a pint on your own. There are nice sofas, booth type seats and comfy chairs as well as a dining area. There are two floors so they can get loads of people in and two bars so service, although not the quickiest, is reasonable and the staff are nice. The bouncers are also pretty decent, some are firendly others quiet but they rarely give you grief or try to act like they are better than you. A great place to start the evening off and get a few down you so that when you look at your credit card receipts the next day the shock on your face wont be as gobsmacking as it could have been. Like most pubs, the emphasis is on selling drinks so the place is the cleanest. Sticky floors from last nights madness or corners that smell of last weeks sick isn't nice but have a few drinks and who cares.What can i say about this place. My Husband had ordered our food and while we were waiting my daughter said she wanted to go to the toilet. As we entered the disabled toilets (we used this as it was the only one downstairs) there was an overpowering, disgusting smell throughtout the room. I lifted the seat for my daughter to sit on the toilet, narrowly missing a HUGE, horrible lump of poo that someone had left on the seat! It had been smeared round too and there was some on the walls. I quickly got my daughter out of there and went to find a member of staff who was mopping the floors in the restaurant and told him what I had found. All he did was tell me where the other loos were and carried on mopping. This was on a Sunday lunchtime and the smell in there was so strong I can't believe it had only just happened. Maybe it was Saturday night revellers but I know the toilets hadn't been checked and cleaned for ages. This total lack of concern by the member of staff sickened me, as did the smell, so much that I wouldn't eat my food when it was eventually ready.

Came across this cafe on school run, on Kings Road, right in the middle of a residential road. I only went in because they have toys in the window and my toddler wouldn't let me walk past without letting her play!

Glad I went in, they sell 13 types of tea (only leaves, not tea bags)and really good strong coffee, served in the funkiest little cups without handles! Menu board has panini, sandwiches, quiche and salad and there's a counter with an amazing array of cakes, sweet things, pastries, even scones under old fashioned glass domes, which look really lovely.

Oceania is one of the bigger clubs in the local area. It has numerous different rooms and each one plays a different kind of music so you are bound to like one of the rooms. The club itself holds hundreds of people and because of that you are bound to walk into someone that you know and there are even some celebs there sometimes.

Wednesday is student night where you will need an NUS card to get in. If you do get in then be prepared to barely move as it gets really busy and getting around becomes a real pain!

Certainly good fun if you do go but be prepared for a high entrance fee and pricey drinks.

This club is definatly one of my fav places to go for a night out in Kingston. It may be on the small side with bar and loos downstairs, bar DJ booth and dancefloor stage on the second floor and vip on the third but its all about atmosphere and music. The music is mainly funky house and sometimes they have a live saxaphone or bongo player which just adds class to the venue. Drinks are reasonably priced, the bar staff and bouncers are very very professional and this night club is very easy to get to with a car park practically over the road.This club is definatly one of my fav places to go for a night out in Kingston. This company is well known for it's natural, handmade bath products such as ballistics, Bubble Bath Slices, soap etc. I used to find the layout of this shop very dark, bland and boring, however I returned there recently to find the shop had had a re-fit. It is now, bright, airy, well set out and inviting. The different products are set out as if you are in a delicatessen and all the products, although they are for bathing purposes, look good enough to eat! The staff are friendly and helpful, offering advice to people who may be new to the products, but just leaving experienced Lush shoppers like myself to browse the shop in peace, just letting you know they are there if needed. TK Maxx is a fashion retailer who specialise in cut priced branded goods. They sell loads of big names such as Nike, Ralph Lauren and Adidas as well as many more for a lot cheaper than other high street retailers.

Although it is always an effort trying to find decent clothes and then finding your size there really are some great gems to be found under all that rubbish. All the clothes in T K Maxx are out of season and this is why they are so cheap. However as long as you are posh spice you are not really going to know which season they came from and neither will anyone else.

The store always has helpful staff in it and they are always willing to help and search the computers for my size. I have been using this takeaway for around 3 years now, and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are great, the menu is full of wonderful dishes and the delivery is always on time.

I particularly like the hot and sour soup, followed by the fantastic Signapore Noodles. It makes for a great and quick treat!

Another dish that is fantastic at this place is its beef and green pepper in black bean sauce, though be warned the chilli's in it are rather hot!

Prices are also very good for the service and the quality of food, i have tried many other places but this one tops the bill.I have been using this takeaway for around 3 years now, and it never fails to disappoint. Subway - Kingston subway is great! just the same as the other subways - the choice of the 6 or 12 inch subs with your choice of filling. Would you like salad with that? Toasted?

I now always get free vouchers when i visit due to my continued custom!
