It was my local for a year and when i first started going there i was pleasantly surprised, the staff are really friendly, the food is nice, ok maybe a bit pricey here and there but its nice. usually get a pint there for about 2.80 maybe less which is pretty good and the only thing that lacks is the fact it doesnt have a pool table...but its approach is more of a eating/snack pub i think. Roast dinners are really good too, you'll be filled up!

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and the food was fantastic, however i visited on 14/11/09 and it has obviously changed hands. The food was cold and bland the service was appalling and this restaurant just does NOT offer value for money. Its is so dissapointing as the restaurant is in such a lovely tudor building. We did have a nice bottle of red wine this is the reason i have given it 1 star. Excellent Sri Lankan food, delicious and fresh-tasting, ingredients given full value, served by charming staff. From its opening it has been very popular, so booking is advisable. We go there frequently, have taken a Sri Lankan friend, and have never been less than delighted with our visit. The marker on the map is not quite correct - the restaurant is in Church Road, next to Hove libraryExcellent Sri Lankan food, delicious and fresh-tasting, ingredients given full value, served by charming staff. Although listed as a pub, and indeed, you are welcome to go in and have a drink and be socialble in the very comfortable bar, you would be gravely mistaken if you didn't eat here. Exceptional food, locally sourced. Menu changing all the time. Excellent wines. About Â£25 a head without wine, worth every penny. A meal you will remember, rather than just another dinner out.This is outstanding. This is a great local pub, recently taken over by people who really know what it is to create a welcoming atmosphere. There is an open seated area at the back for summer drinking and barbecue. Open fireplace for the winter. A decent sized function room upstairs, with Sky sports for the main events. Comedy nights, quiz nights,music nights - the usual attractions for a local place for all to meet and have a good time. Or during the day just be quiet, read, have a drink and work on the laptop, as there is free wi-fi. Children welcome, there are board games available. Food at the moment is limited to burgers, fish and chips and sandwiches, and roast Sunday lunches, all of which are done very well indeed.This is a great local pub, recently taken over by people who really know what it is to create a welcoming atmosphere. It's been a while since I last ordered from GG, over a year, what has happened? The wonderful kebabs have gone. Tonight I ordered 2 chicken shish kebabs with chilli sauce, I got 2 kebabs with 1,000 island sauce. I called to complain but got grief for even daring to talk about my incorrect order (I wasn't rude at all). On closer inspection I could see that the chicken still had it's skin on, was not chicken breast as described by them (more like chicken wings/thighs) and had that jizzy thing going on. You know, the slimey nastiness you get with wrank chicken. They are apparently sending over another pair of 'babs with the right sauce, I'm going to leave them for my lodger's breakfast. I phoned GFC to apologise for having turned to the dark side. Since I no longer fancy kebab I've ordered a dominos.

I found this small, charming italian resturant fabulous.

Coming from an Italian family myself I found the food very good with a nice selection of starters, mains and desserts on the menu.

The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and sophisticated. I also love the deco.

Went here for a meal after I saw the great reviews and was quite disappointed really. The service was good, but a little over attantive sometimes.
I expected the food to be something different, but was the usual bland chinese food you get in a bog standard backstreet takeaway and I found the guy who owns it to be a bit smarmy.
There are Chinese takeaways in Hove that do better food than this, if this is the best they can do, then I can see why staying in is the new going out!

Coriander seems blissfully unaware that there is a Credit Crunch, but I've been into their deli two or three times and paid their exhorbitant unjustified prices. It's true it has a nice atmosphere and the food is all really good, but speaking as a former award winning retail journalist, it's simply wildly overpriced. Of course, one has a choice when one is asked to pay more than Â£10 for 200g or Brie, a pack of butter and a round loaf, but to be yelled at and called rude because you refuse to pay that for the items by the person serving you is the last straw. Very clean with tidy decor, swift service and very reasonable prices for any number of breakfast permutations. My King Size full English Breakfast with chips at Â£4.50 including tea and bread & butter, came piping hot and nicely presented. This place is amazing! Well equipped, clean tidy and immaculate and the staff really know their stuff. It's a proper gym which is focused on the customer seeing results (what ever they may be). It's also really good value with plenty of membership options.

I've been to quite a few gyms around Brighton and Hove so have plenty to compare to and ZT Fitness really is the best gym around.

Rating: 2.00The slug and lettuce at hove is on george street and is easy to get to by bus or car. It was our first visit here and we went for drinks with some friends so asn not really comment on the food, but we did see people eating there and it looked ok from where we were. It would not really be a first choice as a restaurant, more pub food on the cheap really. We just sat and chatted with friends and only stayed for an hour or so. I would say the slug was ok, for the odd drink, but our local is better, it is a big chain and so not very individual. 1 of 2 favourite Indian restaurants in Brighton/Hove to be found on the corner of Church Road and Sackville Road. A little bit pricier than your average but in my opinion worth the extra. I have only ever ordered takeaway so cannot comment on service or the restaurant itself but the food is definitely better quality than some of the Indian food I have sampled in further into town. The dishes on offer are what you would expect from any Indian, they taste authentic and freshly cooked with big chunks of tender, moist and smoky chicken in really flavoursome curries. I generally find you get this better flavour with tandoori dishes....as their website says:
"Many of our dishes are cooked in the 'tandoor' which is a barrel-shaped, open topped clay oven fired by charcoal. Tandoori dishes are marinated in yoghurt with a mixture of herbs and spices and cooked at a high temperature in the tandoor over burning charcoal. This process seals in the goodness and the smouldering charcoal lends the food a very distinct flavour".

On first opening your takeaway curry you are inclined to think there is not a lot of chicken in the sauce, maybe 6-7 pieces, but each of these is bigger than usual and if you've ordered naan bread and rice as well you'll struggle to finish it all. We tend to go for the milder dishes - Korma, Tandoori Tikka Masala and Pathia, which in some places all just taste too similar (like they've come from the same base curry mixture or something), but at Zamdani these have always had their own distinct flavour .

A nice touch on their website : "If a dish that you like is not listed on the menu please ask as we may be able to cook it for you. Any queries, please ask the manager, Hasnath who will be happy to help".
