A quaint little sandwich shop, Roland Butter doesn't offer much in the way of aesthetics or atmosphere, but it does offer good quality food to take away. It's open very early which is always useful for popping in during your morning commute. I don't use this particular shop regularly, however the several times I have visited have seen them serve excellent, fresh sandwiches and rolls which have tasted good even several hours later. There's a small selection of baking as well which is perfect for working lunches. The staff have always seemed efficient and friendly, and the actual location of the shop is excellent - right next to the city centre and near Bothwell street. This branch of Roland Butter is a short walk away from Strathclyde Uni, so it's very popular with students. They sell a wide range of sandwiches, baguettes etc, that are either made to order or you can pick from the ready-made ones that are in the fridge if youâ¬"re in a hurry. Theyâ¬"re all freshly made. They also sell a lot of lovely cakes (the banana cake is delicious), crisps, sweets and drinks. Most people buy the food to takeaway but thereâ¬"s also seats along the window, and itâ¬"s a good place to sit and people-watch. This is a good place to get fast food. The staff are helpful and good at their jobs, and ensure you get your food quickly.

The recent limited offer for ice-cream was excellent and you get a good sized portion.

This Burger King is next door to the Bingo Hall and just across the way from a cinema complex, in case you wanted to eat before going to a film.

It is handy for the Paisley Road Travelodge and is within walking distance of the City Centre (approximately 15 minutes).

However the car-parking in the retail area is strictly controlled, so would not want to park here for too long.This is a good place to get fast food. The staff are helpful and good at their jobs, and ensure you get your food quickly.

The blue lagoon is the best fish and chip shop in the town. The quality of the fish is excellent, and the chips are very good, not greasy like alot of chippies. They do lunchtime specials too, around Â£2.90 for a fish supper, and even cheap for steak pies and sausage suppers, which is good value for a lunch. However the prices do go up at night, probably to make more money from the clubbers so beware if you're buying on a night out. The place is in a good location too, near the station and bus stops. A tradition fish and chip restaurant/take-away in Glasgows city centre. I remember going here often years ago and absolutely loving the food. For the quality served it was incredibly cheap, everything seemed to fresh and tasty. Definately the best fish and chip shop in the city centre, avoid the Blue Lagoons and others like the plague as they tend to be really quite horrible and greasy, very rushed efforts. This traditional eatery gets it spot on and is worth the extra wee bit of money that they charge in comparison to the others. A newly opened Indian restaurant on Woodlands road in Glasgows West End. From the outside it looks very nice and the feeling is kept indoors. The menu is varied and relatively cheap for the west end. I went here with a very large paty and they had no qualms or trouble accomodating us all, although it was very busy. A highly recommended new restaurant that is certainly worth visiting at least once. If I was to recommend a restaurant of this ilk though I would definately put the Rawalpandi on Sauchiehall street above it, although Chillies is a very nice venue.A newly opened Indian restaurant on Woodlands road in Glasgows West End.
