The Service is second to none, food is fabulous, staff are excelent, very friendly & wellcomming. The Owner Linda, & Ass. Mngr Apple, go out their way to make you feel wellcome , as do all their Staff. They have entertainment nights , at present once a month, Prices & Food Selection are hard to beat, from Malaysian, Cantonese, Singapore, Mongolian, Shanghai, Thai, Vietnamese, Szechuan & of Course Vegetarian & European Meals. all mouthwatering & full of flavour. Lovely atmostphere. I am not sure what connection if any this establishment now has to the Amber Regent in the city centre, although there cleary is one (see www.amberregent.com). In any event this was a huge disappointment. Chicken and Sweet Corn Soup was so glutinous a spoon could stand up in it. Deep Fried Won Tun was oily and tasteless. Main course of Sauteed King Prawn with Vegetables in Oyster Sauce was dreary and flavourless. Crispy Duck was served with limp and discolouring cucumber and spring onions. The waitress was unwelcoming (though she did change the soup) and her English was semi-coherent.
The worst Chinese meal I can remember. Avoid!

For me personally Baby Grand on Elmbank is one of the best resturants in Glasgow. First thing: don't let the surroundings put you off - concrete and a strip club (unless that's your thing!).
Inside it's not cramped but intimate with a sort of Manhattan feel to it, lit with candle. There is an open kitchen and of course the tinkling of piano music. Food is excellent. My personal favourites are the oak smoaked salmon and tolouse sausages. It's not cheap but not over the top expensive - in essense you get your monies worth and then some.
Wine list is fair and to the point. You wont find a Â£3.99 bottle here! But when you have such tasty food why spoil it with cheap dish water?
Service is fairly swift, even when busy though trying to pay the bill can take longer than expected, especially when they're so efficient at the start.
One bad point - it can get a little warm, especially in the summer, so I wouldn't recommend heavy clothing!

We went to L'Aristos tonight. We have been going there for the last two and a half years. Our first date was there. We used to love it. The last three times we have been there, the waiters have rushed us, then ignored us after we have eaten. They have become complacent. Tonight the meal came before the wine and they mixed up our liquor coffees. These finer details are important. The entertainment is the best part. Marianne the singer is awesome. To top it all tonight my partner spent over a hundred pounds and they did not even give me a flower. A small thing, but that confirmed it for us. Very central, but easy to miss - upstairs!

Often a queue for tables at busy times, always a good sign. Casual atmosphere (long shared tables), great staff.

The range of sushi is limited, but they do a good bento box, and good miso. The noodle soups are excellent, I think they're better than the curries.

They do take away too!

I was out shopping with my sister in the town and we were both feeling hungry and she asked where to go as i live here ,i didnt no but for one thing somthing fast and tasty was what we were both looking for so the choice was fastfood an expensive resteraunt or this big place called waggamamas. As a single woman I have been patronised by small local garages or to avoid hanging around in back street garages have paid outrageous prices at dealerships. There was an article in the EK Mail about a new garage set up by a married couple where the emphasis was on service. To save money (I'm a teacher) I went along and was amazed, firstly there was a clean warm waiting area where the mechanics were not allowed. When I was told that there would be a 2 hour wait while a tyre was delivered, the receptionist drove me to the EK shopping centre then called my mobile and came back to pick me up exactly 2 hours later. I have never had such a comfortable MOT experience in my life. Glasgow was voted the Curry Capital of Britain last year and so it is no suprise to find such a great restaurant here.

I was up in Glasgow at least 3 times a month for 15 months and always ensured I had a meal there.

Really tremendous well spiced food with many dishes not often found in the UK.
This is not the standard neo Bangladeshi cliche food that is so common in the UK but an upmarket quality establishement with pan Indian dishes .

My boyfriend and i have been here twice, for this years Valentines day and last years. We found it very inviting and have booked a table for the end of this month for his birthday.

The staff are very friendly and unlike other places i have been, don't rush you to order and frequently check to see you are comfortable and enjoying your meal.

I would highly recommend this for a number of occasions, birthdays, romantic nights out, girls/boys night out etc. It is quite a flexible atmosphere.

Both nights we attended there was greek dancing in which customers can get involved, however, it does get a bit noisy, so if that's not your thing, i wouldn't recommend it.

The food was delicious and i could not find a single flaw, cooked to perfection and an exquisite blend of flavours, no matter what you order. I was surprised at the extensive menu, which includes meals to suit all palettes: vegetarian, seafood, poultry, pork, steaks, soup etc.

This was the worst Italian restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of eating in.

The staff were incredibly rude, I don't think any of them are physically capable of smiling. The food was terrible. The pasta I ordered was over-cooked, served in an excessively oily sauce, with bits of fat they had the nerve to call bacon, and bits of green onion that looked like they were weeks old!

On complaining to the staff they didn't care, they didn't apologise, and they didn't give any kind of discount.

Disgusting food, awful service, please do not waste your money at this terrible restaurant!

What a wonderful setting for a coffee shop, must be one of the best sites in the city particularly in the better weather. Costaâ¬"s pleasant and warm interiors generally make them welcoming, this place is no exception. Unfortunately the staff while not unfriendly do not add to itâ¬"s ambience. I met a colleague here for a quick meeting last week, I asked for a filter coffee, forgetting they only do espresso drinks, I was given an americano in a soup bowl with no questions asked. I am not impressed with coffee from Costa, you may have guessed. If youâ¬"re one of the loads of Costa lovers who go there because you know what youâ¬"re getting, want nice surroundings and good people watching spot in the summer, this is the perfect place for you. This is a wonderful quaint tea-house located fairly near to Glasgow University. A self-described "unique space," offering over 80 different types of tea, shisha & vegetarian food. It also plays host to alternative music events and exhibitions.
