It was renovated from an older building and now looks very modern. It is situated in a quiet street behind the main shopping street so can be a little hard to find if you dont know where you're going.
Inside it is very open and can be very busy on a friday and saturday evening. Proveing it hard to find a seat or table. It has a beer garden to it which i never used but seems to be popular.
Staff are very efficient and you dont have to wait too long to be served. I have never bought any food so cant comment on that but the beer is good. Toilets are kept very clean and are modern.Wetherspoons in Falkirk is a fairly new addition. There are now plans to build flats on the area, to much protest from local residents. So it looks unlikely there will be new ownership to make use of the facilities.
Though it has now closed i did get to use the place a couple of times for either family meal or family birthday functions.
The layout of the Whyteside was very open and had sufficient space, including a pool table. The staff were friendly enough and the toilets kept in ok condition.
None of this really matters now but would be nice to have new ownership, considering i only live across the road now.The whyteside Inn is no longer in operation and has closed for business forever.
