This is my favourite place for lunch in Colchester. There is seating upstairs and tables with a view down onto Sir Isaac's Walk to watch other shoppers go by. The tea is proper tea leaves and the food is all good and freshly made. No brown edges on the lettuce! Only one downside which is that if you sit near the kitchen door you can come out smelling of chips.This is my favourite place for lunch in Colchester. We used to love a visit to the oggy oggy pasty shop. Do not understand why it closed as it always seemed so very busy. Where can we go now to get a tasty pasty. Rating: 3.00This golf course is really good, it is quite tucked away though. The pro shop is massive an offers a good selection of golf equipement, at reasonable prices. I bought a set of clubs as a gift and the price and quality was very good. I had to have them extended as the person I bought them for was very tall, the cost to do so was minimal and the staff were very nice about it. The resulting set of clubs and bag were a wonderful gift. The driving range is good and not too expensive, there is also a small cafe and you can hire it out for parties. On the whole we though it was a good quality course, in a nice setting, with friendly staff.This golf course is really good, it is quite tucked away though. Rating: 3.00If you like jacket potatoes then you will like jackpots. We used to go there a lot at lunch time. The garlic, onion and cheese topped potatoes, with extra baked bean topping was great. Have not been back for while so the quality may have changed but it did used to be good. The tables were all covered in plastic table clothes, so it was not posh, but it was great. There were out side tables also, so you could sit in the walk way and people watch.
