For a secondary station, this one isn't bad.
Although it is tiny, and there isn't much in terms of food and drink, it functions exactly how a train station should.

Providing transport to the valleys of Wales and other local destinations, Queen Street Station is always jam-packed full of workers going home after a long day's work. However, in the holidays it is overloaded with children. The trains are frankly not big enough to accommodate the passengers that want to get to their destination, leaving many passengers unable to travel home in certain hours.

Situated in the heart of Cardiff, with the Millennium Stadium on its doorstep, Cardiff Central Station welcomes many passengers to the city of Cardiff.

It isn't a huge station for a city, with only 7 platforms, but it works efficiently and promptly. Voice overs are given in English and Welsh to appeal to all people who are traveling to Wales. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are many shops in the concourse including M&S, WHSmith and Upper Crust. There is also a baguette bar on the main platform.

Outside the station is Cardiff Bus Station, which is convenient for travellers who wish to get around quickly.
