You look forward to fish or whatever and chips here. The marketing sells you a perfect traditional meal. I am mainly talking about the takeaway here,(I used the sit in part some time ago and we had a great meal with family but that was soon after they opened). You get a voucher ticket when you order your food and they call when its done. i have taken the family a couple of times and consistancy is not good, sometimes greasy, varying degrees of cooking on the chips from a bit underdone to well overdone. To be honest the product doesn't meet with expectations of the brand. Need to try harder to be where the hype suggests they are, we have local fish and chip shops that work harder to deliver consistancy.You look forward to fish or whatever and chips here. Itâ¬"s a fish and chip shop! What more can I say? Well, itâ¬"s a pretty good fish and chip shop. Not the closest one to us, but the one I travel a few miles to go to, just because the quality is good. It has the usual chip shop fayre and also the usual Cardiff chip shop fayre â¬ Clarkâ¬"s pies, Peterâ¬"s pies and chicken curry with half rice and half chips! Thereâ¬"s not a lot more to say really, except the chips are good chips. Cooked fresh, taste of potato and are crisp. Small cod for Â£2 is good value and if youâ¬"re in there with children, they normally give them a lolly.Itâ¬"s a fish and chip shop! What more can I say? They do a buy 1 get 1 free offer on any size pizza and they do every topping you can think off!! I am really fussy but they alwasy do exactly what I want : ) They are huge square pizza. Its a really tick bread base with loads of topping on there! I call them and you can pay by card or cash on delivery. They are always very friendly on the phone and also when they deliver the food to you. I am only giving this three stars because of the expensive prices. I mean, for a fast food place it's ridiculous how pricey some of the foods are. For example theres a chicken wrap thing for something like Â£3.60 and you can get the same thing along with a drink and snack from Boots for just Â£3.00! The place is usually messy and has a generally greasy feel to it, even the floors are. The staff seem gormless and not very friendly. Fast food at a fat price! The food however is tasty, yes but for supposedly fast food it really is too pricey.I am only giving this three stars because of the expensive prices. The first surprise to me was that, unlike in continental Europe, where these places are highly visible public loos, here in Blighty you can buy something resembling food in them. So, a couple of nights ago I called up to make a reservation for two, but apparently theyâ¬"re not so busy-you can just turn up and be served. Off we went then, but alas, no waitress sat us down. The specials of the day are printed on a large illuminated screen at the front of the restaurant, but failing to take our orders we upped and left. Never again! Can be found by dint of the big yellow arches, prices are reasonable enough but I canâ¬"t comment on the standard of the fare. When I worked in City Hall this used to be the best place to go for baguettes. There is such a choice of fillings, much better than your usual egg mayo or cheese and pickle. For veggies this place is brill, I have never come acroos a quorn filling anywhere else - quorn tikka if I remember rightly. Along with the baguettes is a small but good selection of flap jack type cakes and the usual drinks. There are a couple of tables outside but this is not a cafe more a sandwich bar, but what a choice of fillings. Rating: 5.00We've been using this takeaway for several years now, and I can heartily recommend it. Having tried many of Cardiff's takeaways, we keep coming back to the India Kitchen bacause of its consistantly high standard of food. The set meal for three is fantastic and will easily feed five people. Each dish tastes distinctly different and fresh (a problem we've had with many other Indian food establishments). The chef there has been accosted to cook food for several big occasions and VIPs which speaks volumes for his abilities in the kitchen! If I was to be very picky, the only problem we've encountered is a longer delivery time than quoted, but this has only happened on a few occasions, and hasnt put us off.
