Three floors (usually disco-style on the bottom and indie on the top) make for a good night for most tastes.

Metro's was my regular Wednesday night out as a student, back about five years ago the doubles were 60p and the cigarette smoke masked the smell of stale armpit and vomit.

I haven't been for a while now, but the doubles were up to £1.20 (still cheap but not the draw they used to be, especially as they are disgusting) and the smoking ban has not been kind to stinky old Metro's!

This is the best of the comedy clubs that I have been in. We went there for a hen night and it was really really good. It was well lit and comfortable in there. The staff were very friendly but they did need more people on the bar during the intervals because it took ages to get a drink!! The show was really good. I havnt had such a laugh for ages to be honest. We also had food during the show. It was only chips and piccie bits but was well priced and really nice. That's good when you have had a drink!! At the end they have a disco which is really good to get up and dance because you cant talk when the show is on. Tickets were not too pricey as long as you enjoy the show. Rating: 1.00I didnt really like this place. The service wasnt excellent and I didnt find the staff at all happy or helpfull. When we went in I found the look of the place very dark and depressing to be honest. I thought it could do with a real makeover!! The show was very good I must say but I didnt really feel very comfortable in there to be honest. I wouldnt recommend it for a stag or hen do as it's not a very jolly place. I have been in other clubs which are far better than this. It is situated in a good place in town so there are plenty of other bars around. May be worth popping in there and having a quick look before you book anything but it wasnt my cup of teaI didnt really like this place. Another gay/lesbian/bi place to go if you are part of or are into that scene. It has too many drag shows for my taste but can be a fun night out with well priced drinks and a friendly crowd. The atmosphere is always quite warm and welcoming but lacks the buzz. it is hidden away a bit so may be hard to find but it's worth it really. The music is great, all the stuff in the charts remixxed etc. The decor is alright with leather comfy sofas and nice lighting, the dancefloor needs work though. I must admit even though it has a reputation to be full of chavs and townies, which it is, it has the most amazing dancefloor which takes up practically half of the whole space and the whole space is pretty big itself. The lighting is amazing with lasers and strobing. The bar is great, a little pricey but not too bad. The music is generic and up to date, remixes and such. The people there are usually fun and friendly but like I said there are many a chav and so this can be a bit daunting at times. Still, the dancefloor is definitely somewhere to visit. Liquid is grotty, smelly and overpriced. It looks good from the outside but really isn't. If you like the whole 'chav' scene or are a 'townie' you will find many people like that there and so will fit in. The music is okay, generic stuff that is in the charts and is remixed. The lights are good but it is just the people that can be very loud and rowdy. The place is led up by stairs and they are usually covered in sticky drinks and sometimes even vomit if you are unlucky enough. many drunken people sliding down these stairs, stumbling and falling. not a classy night out, no sophistication but a laugh at that.Liquid is grotty, smelly and overpriced. This is an awesome place to go if you are into the whole gay/bi/lesbian scene. You will meet many friendly faces that are welcoming and should not be too intimidating. The drinks are of good value and the atmosphere is inviting and fun. The music is tasteful and up to date and the decor is just fantastic with an amazing indoor garden which is great for all you smokers out there. This is a vibrant place to go and you will definitely have an awesome time.This is an awesome place to go if you are into the whole gay/bi/lesbian scene. Rating: 3.00Evolution is set in the cardiff bay UCI cinema complex which is about 10mins by car from the city center, 5mins by train (train station is only 2min walk to complex costs about Â£1,50 from the city center).There is another
way which is free!(best word in the dictionary!) There is a free bus from the city center picks up from opposite creation night club and opposite walkabout every 15 mins from 9.30,Also begins taking people back into cardiff city center at 2am but taxis to wait outside depending on where you live it maybe cheaper to get a taxi from town, sometimes on the bus they will give you free admission lealet or reduced price!.

Once in past the muscle bound door men, the cash desk is in front, on the right alot of steps not good at the end of the night, then a long corridor and a place to put your coats Â£1.50 each item. Either end of the corridor are the two rooms .

Romm 1 is the biggest with 3 bars and a small place to buy food like chips and burgers but the prices are a little steep.

Room 2 is a smaller room but still on the large side with an average dancr floor but plenty of room to sit down and chill out. 3 bars and again a small place to get food!.

Evolution is open saturdays & friday night from 9.30pm - 3.30am ( not allowed in after midnight). The music in room 1 is dance music trance abit like ibiza music, room 2 is 70 & 80s music.

The prices for drinks are very expensive on saturdays & friday nights the cheapest are spirits Â£2.00 for a shot and Â£3.50 for bottles.Admission is around Â£6. go's up after 11pm to abot Â£8.
