We liked this place so much we bought an annual ticket. First of all, entrance to Techniquest is fairly expensive. I would recommend buying an annual ticket if you live in Cardiff and will go more than once every few months. Buying the annual ticket means you can get rid of the feeling of having to do everything on the one day of your visit in order to â¬Sget your moneyâ¬"s worthâ¬. Techniquest is fun for adults and children alike. There are presentations that change every couple of weeks and the exhibits are rotated so that you donâ¬"t see the same thing on every visit. I must admit that now we have an annual ticket, Techniquest has become a place where we can just pop in for an hour or to on a rainy weekend just to keep the children amused. And there are lots to keep them amused. St Fagans National History Museum - A Grand Day Out by NRK

Weâ¬"ve been coming to St Fagans for years, even before we had children and before the Welsh Assembly Government introduced free entry to museums in Wales. Itâ¬"s a great place for a wander about. Our children now love coming here and going in all the houses, looking at where people would have lived, eaten and slept in the years gone by. They especially like the houses with the real fires on cold winter days and looking at all the farm animals. Itâ¬"s been very interesting over the last few years watching the development of the recently completed church. A real labour of love. I went here a few years back, and was very impressed by the facilities that were provided.

You have access to much information about the history of Cardiff Bay here, and there is also an interactive 3D representation of the bay itself. Here, you are able to press buttons which highlight certain areas of the bay with LED lights.

Not only does this impressive landmark host many sporting events, but it is host to many concerts also! With the likes of Madonna, Neil Diamond and Kylie Minogue appearing here, it is no wonder that the Millennium Stadium is renowned for its glory. For sport, this venue is perfect as it is spacious, fresh and comfortable. With a roof that can open and close whatever the weather, you can be assured that your day out will not be spoiled by rain! Cardiff Castle is bursting with activity. I haven't been there since the new innovation project that happened, but I know that there is now a visitor centre and a reenactment stage where you can feel closer to history. The tours of the castle itself are splendid, and the buildings are beautiful. The grounds are well kept, with peacocks roaming freely around. The prices are reasonable, and I guarantee that the whole family will enjoy a day out here!Cardiff Castle is bursting with activity. With the CIA being right in the centre of Cardiff and being easily accessible by public transport, it is an ideal location for the many musical events that happen here. From classical music to rock music, this location has it all. The staff are friendly, and the venue is spacious. Also, the staff who stand at the front of the stage are always very generous with giving out water and helping people out of the crowd who wish to get out of the heat of it. Atlantic Wharf is a massive place containing an Odeon cinema, a Doctor Who exhibit, bowling alley and lots of places to eat.

There's pretty much something to do for the entire family. The bowling is extremely good value and provides a good atmosphere. The cinema on the other hand is quite expensive and so you may want to consider going to another cinema in Cardiff.

The various eating establishments are of a high quality and are always busy. They cater for many different tastes so you will probably find something you like.

The Doctor Who exhibit isn't huge, but does have a ton of props and costumes from the show.
