The facilities were acceptable and the location was great for me, but I was shocked to learn they do not open until 9 am and have no intention to change that policy. Do they not realize that some of us have jobs and like to exercise in the morning? It would cost so little for them to have one or two staff on duty just to open up the place earlier so that customers could exercise in the early morning hours. But they just don't seem to care. Every other gym in town opens at 7 am. My advice is "Save your money, join a better facility that cares about the needs of its customers and is open at early hours."Not open until 9 AM??

I recently visited Kelsey Kerridge fitness and used a guest pass at this gym. Our party bag was superb as we received an art package for each child which included some great quality items - not expected and much better than the usual plastic skittle bottle! The package also includes a meal for the children. This was our first issue as the meal was served to the children on the lane! They had to perch on the benches with a polystyrene tray on their laps, eating hot food with their fingers. When I expressed concern I was told that they were not allowed to eat at the tables due to a health and safety issue. I did point out that surely 6 year olds and hot food on laps = health and safety issue.

The morning also includes a disco - again on a slippery flooring on the lanes (??). I found that the children were exhausted playing a full game, the boys were running around brandishing balloon swords (again a great freebie along with face painting if wanted) and the disco proved one excitement too far!!

All in all a great deal but you may need to tailor using your own judgement. We used Tenpin for my sons 6th birthday party and whilst much of it was superb there were aspects which we were not expecting and could do with being reviewed.

The party package is excellent value for money - a full game for all of the children in the party, unlimited soft drinks for the children and a complimentary hot/cold drink for any adults which are part of the group (excellent!!) as well as a party bag for each child. The indoor football hall is of standard quality but could probably be a little bigger. The indoor cricket nets are ok too. There are two lanes, but they possibly play a little fast. By this i mean that the cricket balls skid off the turf so some extent. I am very happy with the tennis courts though. The big drawback of this centre is that there is insufficient parking available. You are likely to get clamped if you park in the wrong place, no matter what time it it. So you generally need to arrive there early to get a space in the car park. The facilities in this sports centre are, on the whole, acceptable.
