I wouldn't have picked this place normally as it looked a bit tired and cheap but we where passing through Filton and hadn't eaten all day so we stopped off anyway.
We waited quite a while to be served, which was rather annoying as it was empty except for a few buisness men.
When we where finally served we ordered a starter and a main each.

The waitress brought my boyfriends starter out but not mine, when I asked where mine was she said she thought I wanted it with my meal, because, of course you want a starter and a main together?! I told her to cancel it.
The couple sitting across from us who had come in around ten minutes after us then recieved thier mains before us, with us waiting another fifteen minutes after
that.

I had asked for no mayo on my burger as I am allergic, yet my burger was smoothered with the stuff, worse still my boyfriends meal did not come. When I asked the waitress said it would be a couple of minutes and walked off.
Needless to say we got up and left. After a bumbling manager tried to assure us "this never usually happens".

I would not eat here again, even if I was paid to. The place is dark and tired looking, the table cloths sticky. The menu is poor and the staff are idiots.

Tried three times here, basically you can tell a good oriental eatery by how many oriental customers you get. In Tampopo you don't see any. Thats because the food here isn't that 'authentic', and should be bracketed with other chains like wagamamas.

This Sicilian ran resturant is situated in a lovely small market town.
with a lovely garden and listed building you can really relax.
All the staff are their beause they love food and to serve you well.
I had the risotto, a simple dish but it taste so good and even though I have been to Italy many times this was the best one.

Very pricey but lovely place. Unfortunate that it's next door neighbour is a tacky pub but so nice inside. Particularly enjoyed the cocktails at the wine bar.Very pricey but lovely place. I love sushi, so when Obento opened I was very excited but this is a prime example of bad sushi, the fish isn't fresh, when I asked for warm sake I got a bottle immersed in a bucket of hot water and a confused look from the waiter. Nice restaurant with informal deli downstairs with cheaper plates and then pricey restaurant upstairs. Recommend the downstairs section as you get a great harbour view and the food is tasty and affordable. Not entirely sure why this place is still open, the food is disgusting and the beer concept isn't well executed. Newly opened tea house on Whiteladies Road, where Tequila Max used to be. Has a huge selection of teas from around the globe, I tried a darjeeling that I didn't even need sugar and milk in, truly a first! Also had some yummy home baked scones, and lovely sandwiches. Nice change from the usual, and the evening menu looks fresh and interesting. We tried ordering from these over the phone about a year ago but cancelled as the man was just making up prices off the top of his head (all were at least Â£5 more than the menu price). We tried again yesterday and were no more impressed. This time he only overcharged us by about 50p (but at least he gave us the complimentary popadoms and sauce that were advertised in the window). The food was ok but the curries were too oily and all the meals tasted the same (even the vindaloo wasn't very hot). The restaurant area was busy (but there are only about 6 tables). The starters were ok...

There were no waiting staff - the lady from the hotel reception had to literally run over and serve us when she spotted us.

When the chicken came it was very bloody and was far from a quality cut of meat... very difficult to get any chicken off the bone as the flesh was still a bit too under cooked - I have taken a photo in case I'm ill later!

The potatoes "dauphinoise" were microwaved and so were extremely hot with burnt cheese underneath...

The "stylish" atmosphere quoted was somewhat ruined by the noise of the chef's radio and shouting coming from the kitchen...

Probably the worst main meal I've had in Bristol and I won't be going back...The starters were ok...

Having visited Bistro 507 one lunchtime we were impressed with the food and service. They hold special music nights so we went to one last Friday night. Great surroundings, great food, great portions...terrible service. If I ask for water, I don't want more wine. If I ask for 10 minutes to choose from the menu I expect 10 minutes, not to be asked 3 times what I want AND asked how long I need to decide! I've seen quite a few bands at the river and it's always a great show, nice and lively at weekends and relaxed in the week.

the food's pretty good for a mix of Greek and English and not overpriced either. their pieminister pies are the best on the menu.

OMG I LOOOOVE this place. I started going there when I was with my boyfriend and we went all over Bristol for curries because we love them. this is by far the best place.

1. the service is the best, staff will go out of their way for you, and everytime without fail they will give the lady a flower when they leave.

The decor is amazing, so fabulous.

and my favourite thing...the food. and if you do go you have to order a nann. The bread is sooo soft, almost reminds me of a cloud, you really do feel as if you're in a dream.

Rating: 5.00My favourite bar in Bristol. Fantastic friendly staff, good atmosphere. Haven't eaten there yet but smells delicious and a lot of my friends love it. There are however a couple of chavs that come through the doors, think they need a bouncer who can distinguish between the two but nowhere near as bad as the other bars in Bristol.
