Had a fantastic evening at Cibo. The food was delicious, with a huge range of Italian fare to choose from, the waiters knew the menu and wine list inside out and made excellent recommendations, and the ambience was faultless. I've been using this takeaway for years. Ryan is really friendly and have cooked great dishes to me my family over the years. Flapjacks are just the best - they make me feel healthy as they're full of seeds and fruit!! I love the chocolates here - great as gifts. Their salad boxes are just wonderful - so imaginative - you get a mix of everything if you want. Great coffee too. Forget the groceries and wide range of what they have to offer - beware of their car park. Whilst they pride themselves on offering affordable groceries, the added value sentiment doesn't translate to the car parking facilities. Unbeknown to me, I was parked in the Aldi Bedminster car park just 7 minutes over a governed period. The result - a Â£70 fine for my trouble, courtesy of an automated parking fine system (Parking Eye); which only tells you of the fine by post some 10 days after the event.
So what's fair and good value about my shopping experience - nothing! In 7 minutes this automated parking system has blown my weekly food shopping budget; leaving me feeling that there's no 'bargain' attached to shopping and parking at this Aldi.

This Asda store is very conveniently located, close to the centre of Bristol. It is very well served by bus routes and there is a huge car park at the rear.
Although the store itself is not huge, it is big enough to make it a destination food store where you can either stock up on some essentials when you think of them, or where you can do your weekly shop.
This store has a good size clothing section with some true bargains. Other non-food items vary a bit but often include useful and household items, instead of some of the useless rubbish that some food stores now clutter themselves up with.
You will find the usual range of food, a decent size fresh counter and a reasonable fruit & veg selection (but be very careful here, especially if you enjoy apples or would prefer to have your fruit not too badly bruised....)
Outside the main supermarket section is a row of smaller 'service' units for dry-cleaning, photo printing, music and dvds.
The entrance from East Street is marred by an ugly, smelly MuckDonalds. Very busy Tesco in the 'Metro' format. It is located on the edge of Broadmead, near the Mall and the old city. This is a surprisingly well-stocked store, even if it's not all that large.
Its location means that it is often extremely busy at lunchtime (12-2) so it's worth trying to shop before the rush or in the evening.
This store offers a good selection of fresh produce and (being Tesco) you can rely on the quality of the fruit and veg, unlike some of its competitors. There is also an excellent organic section and a decent range of 'free from' items for those with special dietary needs.
Most impressive is the wine section - it puts many an off-licence to shame and with regular offers and case discounts, there are some bargains to be had.
Once you've struggled with your basket(s) and reach the tills, you can either queue for a regular till, use a self-service checkout or prenetnd you only have 5 items in your basket and use one of the 'express' aisles.
As there is usually a negative side to anything that appears really good, this store has the audacity to stock silly, useless or bulky items. They impede circulation and are just not the items anyone in their right mind would come to an inner-city Metro store for. Morrison's cafe usually does an excellent range of all-day cooked breakfasts (till 4.30pm, at least), also serviceable canteen-style lunches (fish and chips, sausage and chips, fish or beef and ale pies etc.) or just for a snack, cakes and individual portion biscuits and hot and cold drinks. Usually a good bet, Iâ¬"d say, except in this case. I went there yesterday and it was shockingly bad. There is a sign in the cafÃ© saying something along the lines of - â¬Üplease bear with us during our refurbishmentâ¬" but there was no sign of refurbishing, and what was wrong with the place had nothing to do with any building work. There were abundant staff in the cafÃ©, but few if any of them seemed to have much idea what they were doing; many appeared to be wandering aimlessly and the majority looked terribly out of their depth. The worst thing was the food, however. My fried egg was cooked in stale to rancid oil, and had a horrible acrid aftertaste. The coffee wasnâ¬"t coffee â¬ it was basically brown, lukewarm water with barely a hint of flavour. I complained and they let my try a different nozzle from the automatic hot drink dispenser but no; it was all like that. I wouldâ¬"ve complained further but the queues were gigantic, the staff looked like they had enough to deal with, and the customer service desk was temporarily unattended. The one star Iâ¬"ve given it stands for â¬Üappallingâ¬". I have been to other Morrisonâ¬"s cafes and they are definitely not all as bad as this.

Bradley Stoke finally has the town centre it's been craving for since the town was built. Tesco has just built a new Tesco Extra on the site of its old, tired looking store, and the replacement sells practically everything in a new modern mini-mall.

The store has a great range of food (as you'd expect) as well as clothes, toys, a pharmacy, and electrical goods. No need to venture down to Cribbs Causeway any more, as you can get everything here.

The new bus station has improved the transport links, and with the other new shops, the leisure centre and the library all a 5 minute walk away, this will hopefully put a real heart in the centre of Bradley Stoke.Bradley Stoke finally has the town centre it's been craving for since the town was built. This Aldi is new, with a really fresh feel about it. The shop is a reasonable size, and stock a good range of everyday food, as well as the featured (non-perishable) products of the week. So if you've got a flyer through the door with something that you want, make sure you get to the store to pick it up when it says it's in stock, as it won't be there for long. If it's a great product at a bargain price, make sure you get in quickly, as they do sell out of popular stuff.

Parking is not problem, as there's a big enough car park.

Things to remember when you shop at Aldi:
- Bring Â£1 for the shopping trolley
- Bring your own bags (as you have to pay for them)
- Pay in cash or by debit card, as there are charges for credit cards.

This is a fantastic little Tesco Express that stocks all those the essential things you need on a regular basis, that you run out of. It's also got a good selection of papers and magazines. The store also has a Post Office inside, which is very useful.

The store is always busy, but they keep enough staff on to keep queues to a minimum. However, the big problem is the parking. There are only about 20 spaces outside, and these serve the local bank, hairdresser and pizza take-away, so it's impossible to park even at less busy times. Deliveries to the store are also done from the car park, which blocks up the entry to the car park!

There are spaces on the street, but these get taken too. This used to be Asda's biggest store in the UK (may not be the case now), so it has everything in it. An extensive range of George clothes, Photo centre, Toys, CDs, Electronics, Home furnishings, Car stuff, gardening, video games, pharmacy as well as all the usual food stuff on a massive scale. So you should find what you need here, all at the usual low Asda price.

The only down side is its size - be prepared for a long walk while you do your shopping! So it's not really suitable if you want to do a quick shop, and if you're not familiar with the layout of the store, you can spend forever trying to find the one thing you want.

These are possibly the best cookies ever, but of course the price reflects that (especially if you don't want to buy many).
They're very good for bargaining co-operativeness from my children whilst shopping, especially the 'lollipop' - cookies on a stick. I believe that they've recently added a double chocolate cookiepop to their range (my daughter's favourite!).
They also sell smoothies & ice cream, as well as a range of drinks. Very large, personalised cookies can be purchased for special occasions & customised to your requirements by the staff, who I have generally found to be friendly & helpful.
A yummy product, but overpriced presumably because the company is aware of its popularity.

There's alot of facilities available in this fairly new Tesco. A medium sized Petrol station is situated next door to the store, whilst the shop itself has a large car park so parking is not an issue.

Next to the car park is a park with playing fields which should ensure the kids are entertained if they take a visit there.

The shop itself is on 1 floor and is quite large, with a restaurant on the right hand side as you enter the shop, with a newsagent kiosk just in front.

Contained within the store you will find a bakery just up fron the restaurant, which offers freshly baked bread, baguettes, cakes and other delicacies.

There's a good range of fruit and veg and the usual foodstuffs, plus they offer a good range of baby care products and other toiletries. THere are some other household items available for purchase and seaosnal stock, so there is a good enough range that you probably won't need to go to a larger supermarket to top up.

The one downside that we found was the milk. Why? Well I naturally thought it would be with the chilled dairy products (cheese, yoghurts etc) but it wasn't. It was located at the back of the store with a sign above it that you could only really see if you were just by it, so we had to ask for the milk.

There are a good number of tills and queuing times are not bad, I would say 5 minutes maximum but shouldn't take long. There are also approx 8 self-service tills which might appeal.

Split tin is an awesome bakery - def the best in Bristol. As they make all of their produce fresh, and because they are so popuar - tis true that they sometimes close early because they have sold-out. I would recommend their criss-cross white loaf and cheesey rolls; also the baker apparently has an allotment where he grows veg and sells outside of the shop - they are the best runner beans I've ever tasted!

Finally, I've had a couple of birthday cakes made by the bakery, and they were very very tasty and lasted well for a weekSplit tin is an awesome bakery - def the best in Bristol. Farmers market is every wednesday. I cycle there to keep the air clean.
This is a fantastic place for all sorts of different types of food you don't usualy find in ordianary suppermarket. Most of the food here is organic, but not all. I usually buy a fresh fish, smoked salmon is my favourite. You find the freshness and quility here. Last time I went they had a lot of Polish bread infact so many different types that I can't remember. It all looked dilicious. In the summer the strawberries were mouthwatering the taste was fabulous and organic!
There is a bit of a choice in the meat department and the cheese soo fresh. Lots of seasonal vegetable. Most of the time you can taste lots of things before you buy them. It realy is worth comming and doing your shoping here. We usualy meet up with my friend and have a freshly cooked sausages from one of the stalls for our lunch and a freashly sqeezed orange juice. There is a cash point if you run out of money like I did last time as I just could not stop buying the lovely stuff.

Tesco do offer good prices and the clubcard points you can receive are an excellent way of getting money off of your shopping or better still, using clubcard deals to get free tickets for days out.

The food quality is good, but the last couple of times i've been to this store I have found that the fruit and veg has been a bit limited - they've tended to run out of stock on carrots and the like.

This venue really could do with a petrol forecourt to compete with Asda Walmart just a few miles up the road as we would certainly have reason to visit there more.

The main plus of this Budgens store is the location, bang right in the middle of the centre of the city, close to many office blocks & complexes. The store itself is fairly run-down & in need of updating, but it offers the usual selection of products, a newsagents, fruit & veg, refrigerated & tinned produce, sells stamps, lottery cards etc. I use it mainly to buy my daily newspaper & at lunch to pick up an occasional pre-packed sandwich, drink or magazine. It is usually very busy during the peak lunch-hours, when everyone is doing the same. Costcutter on Coldharbour Road in Redland is a little local mini-market offering a small range of grocery products including magazine & newspapers to the local residential area. You wonâ¬"t be able to rely on it to do your weekly shopping (the nearest supermarket is the John Lewis Partnershipâ¬"s Waitrose which is a short walk away), but for everyday essentials it is ideal & in a good location.
