soooo gooood. much better than ice cream. I didn't even know about it being healthy until my fourth Lick. I bought a take home tub today as well. It was incredible. Big recomend!!

Have you heard of the song â¬ÜMidnight Summer Dreamâ¬" by the stranglers? I had a very similar experience last night only that instead of the old man, the main character of my dream was chocolate. More specifically Thorntonsâ¬" chocolates that were all over my room and I had to try them all.

I discovered this place in Churchill Square Shopping Centre last year when I was studying in Brighton. After my first visit, it inevitably became a habit for me to pass by this place at least once a week. Itâ¬"s mostly the quality and the variety of different tastes of chocolate this place offers that make it so special. Chocolates are handmade, therefore healthier, so this gives you an excuse to eat a bit more than you are supposed to (without feeling very guilty). I am glad there is Thorntons in London as well.

I am a regular at Taylor St Baristas Richmond branch, and thought it would be wrong not to pop into their Brighton shop when in that part of the world. We were in need of a coffee break, and I knew that we would be sure of a good one here.

The set up is slightly unusual - basically just a small serving counter in the front of a Travel Agency. But they don't need much more space to concoct one of their excellent flat whites, and never fear, there is room for a selection of cakes and other goodies too.

Our coffees were delicious, as were the cute Caramello Koala's (an Aussie chocolate) we ate.I am a regular at Taylor St Baristas Richmond branch, and thought it would be wrong not to pop into their Brighton shop when in that part of the world. Pull a Chilli and put it into chocolate. Sound crazy? This is only one of the first of many decadant and unusual chocolate recipe's designed to tantalise tongue and offer a sensory taste overload. Mmmm

When I lived in Brighton Montezuma's was as a hidden port of salvation set amid the most expensive areas of the famous Lane's after arrival at the chocolate destination a calm ensued and wide-eyed delight always took over. At times things can get crowded (it's only a narrow shop) but lean against the counter and the staff are more than happy to provide free samples - just not the full recipe of their secret chocolate delights.

Best are the Choco Blocks. Think of childhood building blocks - as oversized chocolate chunks offer a treat for feasting! As a bit of a self-confessed chocolate snob, Montezuma's is one of the few chocolateria's to offer 100% cocoa (which tastes sharp, but fabulous btw) as well as 100% organic, fair traded and above 70% cocoa standard. I like my chocolate strong and punchy!

My favourite decadent treat when I return to Brighton, which is not often enough, is a visit to Montezuma's for a hot chocolate and brisk walk along the front. Then home for a raid on various Choco Blocks shared with friends over a nice glass of something suitably strong, spicey and heady. Enough to make you fall head over heels.

Sweet.

I like this shop a lot, they do these really nice chocolate covered marshmallows, with a dark choc corn flake cake, then a white choc corn flake cake, all nicely gift wrapped for around Â£12, which I have often given as a gift. It does worry me that one reviewer has said that they have a severe mice problem though as we always buy from here and I am in two minds about it now. I really hope it is not true. They also do some beautiful cakes which can be either white or dark chocolate and are priced around the Â£30 to Â£40 range. They did one for us as a birthday treat and it was very good and looked fab. Super markets are all pretty much the same, same stock similar value. This is your average asda with the usual up stairs clothing bit, but is smaller than some I have shopped at. You do have to pay to park her though so make sure to take some change with you. If you do pay you get it back if you spend over Â£5. Otherwise the nearest free parking is at the marina which is short way away but seems longer with heavy shopping bags. The place is always busy, we all need to visit them so be prepared to get run over with as many trollies as the eye can see. I have to say, i was sorely disappointed by this place. It always looked so good from outside. I have walked past quite a few times and thought to myself i really must try it so i plucked up the courage and ventured inside. On the face of it, they have a great stock with lots of different food, meats dairy etc. I had started to look around and noticed the service staff studying me intently which made me feel a little uncomfortable. I was looking at the ingredients on the back of one of the jars when the staff member rudely walked over and asked what i was doing. I explained about the ingredients but they didn't believe me and instructed me in a barrage of foul language to leave the shop. I have no idea what i did wrong, although based on the last review they probably assumed i was checking the sell by dates. Not going back!I have to say, i was sorely disappointed by this place. I don't live near this some so its a bit of a trek to get to it. However i can confirm its certainly worth the trouble! They have a huge stock of the most gorgeous food. Some gan be obtained in other shops in the main town, but there is no other shop which houses them all like Fanny's does! Their baguettes are to die for, they takes absolutely gorgeous and i also really like their latte, it has a fantastic flavour - better than nearly all coffee shops! Fanny's is also perfect for getting someone a unique food based present - lots of jars with things it always goes down well!I don't live near this some so its a bit of a trek to get to it. I use convenience corner quite frequently since I am always in brighton when I feel like wanting a snack or a drink but not wanting to go and queue for hours in a massive fast food chain in Churchill square or eating in some greasy fish and chip shop run by teenagers. Anyway. Back to convenience corner which is just what it says on the tin . Convenient. Need a drink ? Need a snack ? then just pop in to the shop . Last time I went in the shop (a couple of months ago) they had some brilliant 2 for 1 offers on packets of crisps and drinks which are perfect if you just want to pick up a small snack.The staff there are helpful and most of them speak perfect English and are very happly to assist you . The shop is also very clean and doesnâ¬"t have all boxes scattered everywhere like some other shops.
