We attended this venue on sat 17th october for my brothers 25th birthday.
upon booking we purchased side seats and a birthday package, which was to include a decorated table a funny hat a t-shirt, a cake and a shout out from the compare.

firstly the side seats were terrible! we were stuck in the corner almost like being behind the stage. 3 of the 6 seats were restricted view.

and considering it was a birthday the placement was a disgrace.

we went to the bar to order drinks and waited for 35 mins to be served with no-one at the bar due to the staff completing pre ordered drinks.

we waited nearly 1 hour before one of the waitresses came to the table to take our food order.

we ordered food for 4 of the 6 and only 3 meals arrived when questioned the waiter told me he would go and sort it he never came back.
so i went looking for another member of staff, after another 15 mins she came back and told me i had not order this other meal and if i wanted it i would need to order it and pay.

as for this so called "birthday package" more like a birthday let down!!!!!

Thirdly: the t-shirt was for a stag do as they had mixed up 2 of the parties orders and they did nothing, they took the t-shirt away and never returned with the birthday 1!!!!!
Fourthly: the cake arrived with no plates and no cutlery.
Fithly: the shout out from the compare??? at the very end of the show he did a shout of to each of the parties there, for our group it was happy 25th to alex WHOOOOO!!

Disgraceful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother went to find the manager to complain, and was confronted with poor attitude and no response. nothing was done about any of this apart from a pathetic appologie!

And all of this was going on through out the entire show so of course we didnt get settled, really get to listen to any of the comedians or enjoy our night.

not one of us laughed all night or had a good time. it was the worst birthday event ever i felt terrible having organised this as his birthday night out.

as for the venue and seating well......

the venue is dirty dingy and felt like a school canteen.

the seating arrangement meant that not 1 person in the venue faced the stage as the were in lines like a school canteen.

i would not have choosen to sit in any of the seat in the venue if given the choice again!

o and to top it off during the show while we were complaining to one of the staff (which time i cant remember there was so much to complain about)
another member of staff told our table to shut up as there was no speaking during the show!!!

what a laugh!!

i would never recommend this venue to anyone and my review is honest and accurate i have never been so angry and disapointed.

if you want to go to a good comedy club go the the glee club it put this place to shame!!

Have been here many times over the last ten years with my wife or in bigger birthday groups and always had a brilliant time. You get to see all the very top names in comedy world that normally only play arenas.
Its not the cheapest place to go out but that tends to keep out the chav element and leery stags and hen groups you get over on broad st. All the seats face the stage and every couple get thier own table unlike its down-market competitor Jongleurs.

I often make the trek over from Coventry to come here, it is a brilliant night out. So many gay bars and clubs manage to feel seedy but Nightingales rises above that and just provides a genuinely fun night with something for everyone. I really agree with the other two reviews that the atmosphere is nothing but friendly and you never see any trouble. The first floor you come to has all your cheesey chart-toppers and is brilliant. This place is huge and never feels claustrophobic, sweaty or cramped. Â£5 to get in on a Saturday (i have only ever been on a weekend so can't comment on any other nights). The Que Club in Birmingham is one of the most unusual club venues in the country. It is a converted Cathedral and you can begin to imagine how large it is inside.

It boasts seven rooms of various sizes, but the most stunning room in the venue is the main room with its towering ceiling and tiered seating that surrounds the upper part of the room.

Located centrally, the Que Club has hosted some of the country's most popular nights such as Flashback and Atomic Jam, visited by nightclub-goers from all over the world. These kind of nights would always sell out and the queues of people eagerly waiting to get inside would always tail off around the street corner.

The Birmingham branch of this franchise is popular as a whole night experience, but for me is overrated.
Europe's largest illuminated dancefloor plays 70s and 80s. Another large dancefloor has more modern hits and great light and smoke effects.
Elsehwere inside are small bars with themes (New York, Hong Kong, Wild West or similar (don't quote me I was a little drunk)) which I think fail to captivate and reminds one of a cheap theme park.
The drinks are controlled; that is the cocktails are mixed to be not too potent, so (a) you buy more and (b) you don't become too drunk and cause problems.
There is a smoking area upstairs too.
The bouncers are friendly but regimented in their approach, with head mounted cameras and high standards. Can't say the same about the clientele though.
Definately some wrong faces in here of a weekend, but can be a good laugh.

This probably the best club of all time in my opinion. I don't think I have experienced a better night out anywhere. I haven't been for years so Im not too sure if it is still going. If it is check t out. There are three rooms, one playing modern hard rock, the other more student based indie rock, and the classic rockers room, so there is something for everyone and many people from differnt walks of life. The rooms are all designed really nicely and are unique too. It is definatly a highly recommended night out as there is enough musical choice to satisfy, as long as its rock music you like!This probably the best club of all time in my opinion. Snobs has a reputation of being a wild rockers place, which to some extent is true.It certainly has a party vibe. I haven't been for a while but I do miss going as I've had some fantastic nights up there. It is definately a much better night than the appaling Subculture nights down the road. It is rather small though, so the dancefloor can be a bit cramped. It does have a nice atmospher, a uniqquie layout, and two rooms where the music is both good, and varied. If your looking for a good night out with mates, good atmosphere, and a sore head the next day. This was one of the nightspots in birmingham city centre for much of the 1980s and 1990s and the early 2000s. The place was huge and sometimes had the feeling of a rave when the place was packed out at student nights on monday.

The location was not the best but it did seem to attract lots of people and it was the first experience of night clubs for me and my friends. They had a stage and used to have bands and z-list celebs come, plus the usual holiday rep type games involving members of the audience, i miss that and clubs these days don't seem to put the same amount of effort into entertaining thier clubbing customers, shame really.

This venue has so much potential and has never really lived up to its billing as the biggest nightclub on broad st. The place looks good when entering, with its large stairwell up, when you get in its three different rooms, largest one is dance music and is on the ground floor, second one is r and b music on the third floor and the third is eighties music on the second floor. The drinks are expensive, you have to arrive early to escape paying the entrance fee of Â£5 plus , but when you do that it means you have to wait ages for the place to warm up and for the atmosphere to get going. the larger dance room does warm up at about 1130 onwards and the usual dance tunes are blurted out. The best atmosphere is probably found in the eigthies room and all the usual eigthies hits can be heard in there.

Rating: 4.00Been here for a few parties and engagements. The place is well clean and the staff were friendly and pleasant and great to talk 2.

The outside area was lovely with beautiful views and very very quiet!! The drinks were reasonably priced with an excellent atmosphere to be had by all.
