If you want a cheap and cheesy night out in Bath, go here. Not very sophisticated, fancy or complicated. Busy on Student nights (Mon and Thurs), sometimes so much so they have to turn people away at 11pm!

Large dance floor by Bath standards, with a retro theme. Okay atmosphere, quite friendly, particularly near the start or end of the student semester (late Sept, early Oct, early Dec, late Jan,early Feb and late May).

Much better choices in Bath if cheese (and the accompanying set-list only 20 tracks long) is not your thing.

Reasonably priced bit of fun on a sunday night. Good selection of comedians and comperes to warm up the crowd. Quite cosy venue enhances the atmosphere, and means you can really enjoy the audience interaction, yet you dont have to participate if you do not wish to.
Regular audience competitions, such a the best caption to an amusing picture, with decent prizes such as drinks, meals or free tickets to events at the Porter/Moles/Comedy Cavern.

You do have to queue up in the Porter Pub, and can get a bit uncomfortable if its busy. Dont forget the entrance is inside the Porter, just opposite the bar, dont make the common mistake of going into the Moles music venue.

One of the worst clubs in Bath, even sweatier, cramped and uncomfortable than all the others. Impossible to stand up if you are over 6 foot in one of the two main dance areas, or perhaps more accurately described as a bomb shelter with speakers at one end. If you can just about stand up you will be wiping you hair all over the sweaty, dripping roof.

Drinks are quite expensive, beer seems watered down. Usually have some kind of free entry on student nights if you go early (~1030), but you will be virtually on your own.

From the outside you may not be able to tell just what exactly Back to Mine is. With the promiscuos name and pink kitch floral window you may be excused for thinking it's a gay bar or hooker joint but when you enter you are pleasantly suprised.Polite doorman and brightly coloured steps lead you downstairs into a chilled out, modern and unpretentious atmoshpere. The front bar offers a brilliant selection of wines for very responable prices, also very well stocked are the range of premium spirits. Roulette, chessboards and cards are available from Monday to Wednesday to keep you entertained, while good quality dj's playing funk, soul and occasionally dance/bass beats can be heard. The back bar offers comfy sofas, candlelit tables and a cocktail bar serving great cocktails, using fresh ingrediants all prepared infront of you. Great drinks, great music and great atmoshpere.
