Rating: 3.00Pizza Hut in Airdrie is a takeaway and delivery branch only. It's very small inside, with just a couple of benches if you want to sit down and wait for your order. I usually phone and get a delivery but sometimes if they're busy this can take a lot longer than just driving down and picking it up yourself. They're usually pretty quick if you go in yourself. The staff are the usual miserable teenage pizza workers but you don't have to deal with them for long. The pizzas they make are nice, your usual Pizza Hut pizzas. Rating: 3.00Guidi's is a small Italian restaurant (well I say small but they have expanded a lot in the last few years), located in Coatdyke in between Airdrie and Coatbridge. In the good old days they did good Italian food at affordable prices, and was a fun place to eat. Unfortunately they started to believe their own hype and began charging Â£6 for 4 mozzarella sticks and dishing out slices of Mothers Pride with their pate at the same time as the service was going rapidly downhill. But credit where credit's due, the food is still good if you know the right thing to order and don't mind the price. I used to go regularly but now if I want to pay a tenner for a plate of pasta I'd rather go somewhere nicer in Glasgow. Capocciâ¬"s ice cream is just delicious. They have recently moved to new premises where theyâ¬"re tucked away from the main street and there is no longer room for you to sit in. Itâ¬"s now takeaway only. The ice cream comes in a variety of tub sizes, just pick the size you want (and Iâ¬"d recommend going for a big tub!) and the flavour of ice cream you want, and theyâ¬"ll fill it up for you. All of the flavours are delicious but my favourite is the simple vanilla. Itâ¬"s so creamy and delicious. They also sell all manner of ice cream â¬Üaccessoriesâ¬" such as wafers and raspberry sauce, so you can create your own sundae. The Owl & Trout Country Inn - Delicious Home Cooked Food by spaceraider

The Owl and Trout is a lovely country pub just outside of Airdrie. Inside is a nice homely, cosy atmosphere so itâ¬"s a great place to go for Sunday lunch. They also have a conservatory area at the back. They serve delicious home cooked meals at really reasonably prices â¬ last time I was there it was about Â£11.99 for 3 courses. They always have lovely homemade soup, and their desserts are great. The main courses are yummy but the portions could be bigger (although after 3 courses Iâ¬"m usually pretty stuffed anyway!). They serve your average pub food â¬ lasagne, burgers, macaroni cheese. The pub has a car park outside and is located right by the water so thereâ¬"s a lovely calming view.
