Perfect place to go if you're looking for a ruck (or the same with an f, I suppose, if that's your thing). They have got bouncers but this doesn't seem to prevent the regular punch ups and the prolific drug dealing. Fancy interior design and nice sofas but that doesn't really make up for the rest of it. They recently had their license for extended opening revoked and everyone in town breathed a sigh of relief. Except the dealers. They will now be forced to make their sales targets in half the time, the poor buggers. To be fair though, the whole town is a dump on a Saturday night, this just happens to be the armpit.

Rating: 4.00Ok, so kebabs are bad, we all know, let's just forget that while we enjoy thinking about them. The guys who work here are all great for a laugh, they love kids (why is it that British people are so ambivalent or negative towards children??) and always give mine a lolly while they wait. The food is good value and freshly cooked while you wait. They best value and least artery clogging option is one of the big massive mixed kebabs which will easily feed a family and work out about Â£7 or Â£8 and include proper chunks of meat instead of the minced lamb lips and bums you get on a donner. Whenever I walk past here Flannel Street is full of drunks who should be in work. I used to work in the Hen and Chicks a few years ago and I can vouch for the fact that everything was microwaved, and I was the worst waitress in the world and didn't get the sack, so that tells you something. Last time I drank there (at night) it was full of lecherous old drunk men who were completely happy to shout and leer at my friends and I with the full joyful blessing of the stupid bar staff. I would avoid this place at all costs nowadays, in fact I've started to walk around the back to get to the butchers, I'd rather not get accosted by the alchies sat outside having their mini gathering every day. We booked all the tables for my daughter's 18th birthday party and would strongly recommend the Kings Arms to anyone. Hannah, the manageress, was amazing.... knew exactly what we wanted, really helpful, excellent communication.
The atmosphere was perfect, gorgeous room, tasteful, candles on the table and lots of little extra subtle and tasteful touches.
The food was amazing. Beautiful meals, a good choice, and good value for money considering the very high standard.
