From the time we arrived, over-tired and overwhelmed after 13hours of travelling, we felt at home in this apartment. The apartment was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen contained all appliances and equipment necessary for cooking, though I have to admit not a lot of that happened as there were so many great eating places nearby.
The apartment was extremely quiet, and the bed heavenly. We love, love, loved our stay at Caâ¬" Pozzo Vechio, and we would recommend it to absolutely anyone that we knew! Don't miss out on your opportunity to stay in a lovely apartment and have more amenities than you'd have in a hotel! G.M. Washington DC

Me and my wife stayed in this small yet charming Bed and Breakfast in Venice.
Very central, just between Rialto bridge and S. Mark's square, was a nice surprice to get a budget accommodation in the historical ccnter!!!

The apartment is lovely, clean and modern.
The location of the apartment is perfect as it has a supermarket, Post Office and Vaporetto stop all within a very short walk. Very highly recommended!

Rating: 4.00Nice place to stay. Pretty basic breakfast (croissant, toast, cereal, etc) was included, but plenty to get you going in the morning. The decor was rather nice all round, the room was spacious and everything was very clean. Bathroom was a tad small with a tiny bath (taking a shower or a bath wasnâ¬"t particularly easy), and the bed was a bit uncomfortable though. The staff were helpful, friendly and spoke good English.

The locationâ¬"s excellent; minutes walk from the Dogeâ¬"s Palace and St Markâ¬"s Square. Plus, itâ¬"s surrounded by plenty of great places to eat and shop. Furthermore, itâ¬"s not far from several water bus stops, making getting to some of the other nearby islands a fairly simple affair.

stayed here 4 nights beginning of march had a wonderful time, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are really helpful, we asked for directions to the casino not only did they oblige complete with a map, they even gave us a promotional ticket for free entry, the rooms are all different, we were given a choice of two - canal or garden view - we chose the garden view, although the garden isn't at its best just yet, you can see what it will become, the new owners (8 months) have employed a gardener and he is busy working on restoring and replanting it, this is going to be a fantastic area to sit (has patio section) with a drink after a long day walking. Breakfast was continental with plenty of choice, tea (even herbal) and coffee are made fresh for you when you enter the dining room, again the staff where lovely. The location may not be right in the heart of the tourist area (10 min walk) but this made it even better, being placed in a more residential section you got to see and meet the real venetians as they go about the day, and the local resturants are great value, excellent food and a really warm friendly atmosphere. During the last century, this house belonged to Angelo Scattolin, a famous Venetian architect, Chair in Architecture at the University of Venice, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts and Overseer of St. Mark's Church between the 1960s and 70s.
In his house, he blended the classic Venetian styles with solutions which were already paving the way for modern architecture: respect for tradition and innovation are combined with a simple, rational style in the rooms and furnishings, reflecting the light and charm of Venice.
His successors have tried to interpret and offer their guests the same attention to detail in the layout of the rooms and the furnishings enhanced by genuine antiques, without neglecting the rationality of the details, that are never mundane.
