I went several times to Felix club and all I can say is that's the best club in Berlin if you don't like the "alternative clubs made in Berlin" :
- here all is clean and chic, even in the toilets, there is marbre, and a personal mirror!
- the ambiance is incredible, partly thanks to the excellent DJs (it's impossible not to dance) and also thanks of the girls, who are the most beautiful in Berlin.
- the service is very good. You don't wait hours in order to get a drink. The waiters are friendly and efficient.
- the door police is normal for a such place: you need to dress up, however a T shirt is ok if it's trendy.

I passed my best nights in Berlin in Felix!

Reading others reviews, I am quite surprise that some people rate it with only one star. Objectively, it's dishonnest. I think some people are just frustrated because they couldn't enter into it.

This great pub located right outside Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn station (you need to cross the river) offers pretty much everything you need: beer, sports and varying prices.

Though it definitely isn't the cheapest place in town, prices are reasonable. Especially since the main reason you go here is in order have some fun playing against the beer exchange system. Depending on the current demand the different beer prices will rise or fall. Everything is announced live on screen and every time you order something the bartender gives you a receipt with the current price (as the price of your beer may change within a few minutes). For those who don't like taking risks, just wait for the exchange to crash every 30 minutes or so. The crash is announced by a bell and all beer prices fall back to their minimum. It's a fun little place to go to with your friends although it tends to be rather empty during weekdays.

I strongly recommend ordering the Koelsch Meter (=15 200ml glasses of fresh beer from Cologne)

The "white castle" (= shiro i shiro) in Berlin-Mitte is best described as globalisation for taste buds and is a perfect example of Berlin's new modern and trendy restaurant scene. Boasting a wide range of dishes inspired by a fusion of japanese-french-mediterranean cuisine, prepare to be surprised by the contemporary constellations that await you. While some of the combinations may seem out of place at first, rest assured that you'll enjoy every single bite.

Much like the food itself, the interior design takes some getting used to. Kept almost entirely in a sterile white with accasional touches of blue, opinions are bound to be split as to whether it's simply "too much" or absolutely "dazzling". Unfortunately most of the restaurant only has long endless tables, which can be off-putting for people who don't enjoy sitting at a table with dozends of people they don't know. However, small "booth-like" sÃ©parÃ©es are available for anyone who prefers a little privacy.

For those who enjoy pies and cakes, "Sowohl Als Auch" also has a variety of homemade choices which range from traditional apple pie to New York cheese cake.

Despite the proximity to the hideously overpriced locations around the Kollwitzplatz, "Sowohl Als Auch" will not burst your budget and is less exposed to the common crop of tourists. However, don't expect too many native Berliners either and prepare to wait in line on sunny days if you want to sit outside. The cafÃ© is mostly frequented by Berlin's large community of students or young, relatively well-off professionals who have moved to the capital and enjoy the lively, yet unpretentious flair of the Prenzlauer Berg area.

This is a place tourists never usually come to. It's a few blocks away from Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse hidden away in the quieter side streets of Mitte. It's a great place for a few glasses of excellent wine with friends or colleagues accompanied by some small special dishes from South-Western Germany (try the Speckpflaumen, they're delicious!). It's a somewhat bohemian place that you enter through a door hidden away under ivy and a lot of the people there are regulars and yet very open-minded and always curious to meet new people. In the summer there's a cute little garden terrace, too. If you want to get a glance at 'real Berlin', this is the place to spend a few hours at! This is a place tourists never usually come to. The red striped awning is a beacon for hungry tourists looking for a nice spot to have breakfast in central Berlin. One of the nice features of Cafe Kranzler in Berlin is that it has a terrace running around the restaurant.

Breakfast buffets are not for everyone and I'm not usually a huge fan but it is good value and has a reasonable selection. If I'm honest the best part is really the balcony and the chance to sit out in the fresh air on a nice day. Oh and the menu is quite amusing too:

A local with oodles of Berlin knowledge took me to Restauration 1900, which is a great place to know about in Berlin for breakfast/ brunch where you can sit outside.

I went on a Sunday and had an epic buffet brunch. The setting is terrific on a sunny day, sitting in the corner of the now fashionable and very pleasant Kollwitzplatz. Apparently Restauration 1900 has survived being a popular institution from socialist times, which is a rarity.

I would make a point of going back and looking around the area some more.
