I finally went to the Pompidou centre this year and was not disappointed.

The building was ahead of its time and still feels innovative today. The tubed escalators are great fun and the Parisian views from the top are terrific.

I didn't eat at the top floor restaurant, so would be interested to know feedback from anyone who has. The outdoor section looked like a top spot to be on a pleasant day.I finally went to the Pompidou centre this year and was not disappointed.
