Perfect Restaurant in Sayville 9th March 2009

My parents were in town over the weekend to see Sayville. After the last time they were in the area, my suggestion was embarrassing - so this time I needed to impress them. My first thought was to suggest Collins & Main. We sat for drinks first and although they didn't have a martini list, they did have about five or six suggestions such as strawberry & tequila rose, a mimosa martini and a blueberry lemon. My parents ordered bombay martinis - and liked them. My margarita was also good - it didn't taste as if it was made from a mix and it wasn't overly strong. My wife has the strawberry & tequila rose martini and loved it.

Dinner was so good! We did the shrimp cocktail and a baked brie for starters - all went over very well with everyone at the table. The fillet was perfect - I highly recommend that one. My parents enjoyed their sea bass and other dish (can't remember what it was). The piano player in the lounge started playing at this point, which really added to the atmosphere. The coffee was fresh and the desserts tasted as though it was made that day. The evening could not have gone any better.
