....then you will be very happy. Midtown/Central Park location - just down the same street as Carneby Hall, if you are trying to get as many places 'done' as possible - BD is always, always busy. Nice authentic meal, plenty of good people watching to be done, good feisty Ny attitude from the staff = a worthy stop for nosh, providing you are ok with hustle & bustle.
The Brooklyn Diner is another of those excellent New York 50's style diners. But the food there is fantastic - Y.U.M. is an understatement!
We had breakfast there one morning. They were packed out, but they managed to squeeze us into 2 seats on the counter, where we could watch the action. Service was very friendly, and we even got to try a couple of complimentary pastries straight from the oven - one of the benefits of counter dining ; )
We had one of the tastiest breakfasts I have ever had - scrambled eggs with hickory hardwood smoked bacon and challah toast - just FAB!!
