Having just landed in New York we ended up going to Lombardi's, apparently the oldest pizzeria in America.
The pizzas here are HUGE, mind you, I guess that most things in America are pretty big so it should come as no surprise really. Saying that the pizza was great and pretty good value for money. Just remember, it's cash only here so make sure you've got enough money.
Top find.
This is the best pizza restaurant ever! The first Italian restaurant in the US, and it's not expensive, reasonably small and very busy. You can't book tables, but it's well worth a little wait while sat at the bar. The decor is typical old school Italian - red and white checked table cloths and a few plaques commemorating the history of the place. They only do a margarita pizza (thin and just right, not a Pizza Hut deep pan!!) and you can choose some toppings. There are a few other things on the menu, but it's all about the pizza....
