Reviews for Soho Grand Hotel
Soho Grand has historically received bad reviews for points ranging from poor to offensive service, tiny rooms and expensive rates. I have been a guest here on three occasions and each stay has been relatively painless. This hotel is all about the location. Located just off Canal Street on the edge of Soho, this is shoppers paradise. All within 5 minutes walk and also very well connected by subway. The staff range from being useless to very helpful depending on whether you look famous or not. It seems as though there celebs staying here every time I've been here and they have at time more helpful than the staff themselves.
The rooms are unfortunately quite small and quite noisy - the walls are paper thin. On one occasion my room smelt of smoke despite being marked as a non smoking room. And lastly and crucially the price is major set back. Prices have ranged from USD 400 to USD 700 before Christmas for the smallest of rooms. You can do much better in a competitive boutique hotel market.
