Reviews for Milk and Honey
I made a visit to Milk And Honey on my last trip to New York. I was given an email for Sasha, the owner, and free choice on whenever I wanted to go as the texting service didn't come up trumps when I tried it.
This place has rules... http://www.mlkhny.com/houserules/index.html - which may seem strict but they are 100% positive. Stardom and celebrity is thrown out of the window here.
You enter the tiny, 35 or so cover, bar through a hi tech surveillance door hidden away in the Lower East Side / China Town area of Manhattan. Then through some heavy black curtains you hit the bar and the booths at the back. We decided to reserve a booth and everything about this place was perfect.
Then there are the gorgeous cocktails! Tall and minty, short and tart, fresh fruit with gin, Absinthe and Bourbon. Anything you want, based on your mood, tastes but no menu... our server had an extensive knowledge of the cocktails and in particular specials of the day. 15 dollars a drink and after that it was fun to tell people that you went there!
