This was the worst birthday in 52 years. I don't know why I chose Bella Vita on Route 6 in Mohegan Lake NY. The food was awful, the service mediocre at best. We had to send two of five entrees back. The escarole was nasty. With all that and it being my birthday I asked the waitress politely if she would refill my GINGER ALE as a courtesy. She said she would "see what she could do" and came back and said NO that it wasn't "restaurant policy." This is after charging $3 for each of 5 sodas and $7.50 for average table wine by the glass. We skipped dessert, paid and left. I should have known something was up when we walked in at 8 PM and the restaurant was EMPTY and for the rest of the night we were the ONLY PEOPLE THERE. They have another place in Eastchester, Gina Marie or something, and we'd never go there either. It was SO BAD.....we now have to warn all our friends NEVER to go there. STAY AWAY!!! It's HORRIBLE!
