I had dinner at Thai Taste restaurant in Massapequa Park yesterday at 6:00 P.M. Food was very good and service was good too. Food was served hot, tasty and spicy, like Thai food is supposed to be; and I consider it a big plus for a growing business. We did not have to wait long after our order, but I must say that there was very few customers.
One thing I did not like was that portions were way too small for dinner; It was about the same portion I usually have for "lunch special" at Thai restaurants in Manhattan for cheaper prices. I truly believe that they must change that part because people don't want to go to restaurants and still feel they could have more food on their plate or eat more for the money they paid; it is known that between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. restaurants serve "dinner" not lunch when people are expected not to eat much. I am not a big eater at all but they gave us like two (2) spoons of rice and a small plate of chicken/seafood. It is absolutely unacceptable to serve so little at dinner time! Frankly, I intend to go back there another time and if I am really satisfied with the food, the service (I did last night) and the portions they serve, only then will I recommend Thai Taste in Massapequa Park to friends. This is New York, usually customers cannot or barely can finish their plate at restaurants! I wonder how much food they serve for lunch!
